One take away from #unKonf: #PHP developers are pretty smart and very nice actually :)

[Original post on mstdn.social]

Currently working on packaging @vernissage for #NixOS And now that #Swift 6.2.4 is in master, I’ll directly open a draft PR! It took literally days to compile all the necessary packages to even compile Swift itself from staging.

Does #Bonn already have a #NixOS or #RustLang meetup? 🤔

Things that ended up not being fixed in the final release of #macOS 27 Golden Gate: - can't drag & drop windows into the bar in mission control to fullscreen them, this still worked even in the first beta of macOS 27 and then was suddenly gone - weird lack of contrast at the bottom of the new […]

I'm at #MRMCD! If any of these topics interest you too (or you'd just like to talk to me), hit me up if you see me or ring ATMU/2868 :neocat_owo - #Nix/#NixOS - #btrfs, filesystems in general - OS architecture, #Linux, #Genode - #Git/#GitAnnex - (Decentral/distributed) data storage, transfer […]

Official announcement will follow next week: we're meeting on Tuesday, October 7, for our next @NixRust meetup in #Mannheim. We still have time for a second talk, so if you have a topic or project related to #RustLang or #NixOS that you'd like to present, get in touch!

ALLES inkl. Geheimschutz-Daten wurde veröffentlicht, siehe mein letztes Posting... :| #KRITIS Sektor #Staat und #Verwaltung Ultimatum der Hacker abgelaufen […]

My #NixOS module for Bulwark Webmail is now in nixpkgs unstable! It took some time to get everything right but there it is, my first module in #nixpkgs. Even plugins work!! https://github.com/bulwarkmail/webmail

Danke CDU. Danke SPD.

When I had my one and only conference paper published on #ACM three years ago, I chose a dedicated email address for the author email. The amount of academic spam on it is almost hilarious. Also half of them are addressing me as Dr or Prof when I'm neither.

FFS. Of all the Linux projects 1Password could funnel $300,000 to they chose the one associated with Omarchy, which in addition to DHH being terrible, already has $10M funding. Surely they could have found a less well-funded project to donate to […]

I'm giving an actual Rust university lecture next semester and I can't shake the idea of bringing the obligatory Rust cat ears for the first day. #RustLang

A good day to give #Helix another try :vim:

We're currently planning a new meetup of @NixRust at the DHBW #Mannheim (in Neuostheim) and are looking for speakers. The topic can be anything related to #RustLang, #Nix or #NixOS, with a duration between 20 and 40 minutes (excluding Q&A). Meetup date depends on your availability. New and […]

Honestly the lovely app icon by itself already is reason enough to switch from #Gram to #Zed as code editor. https://gram-editor.com/ #GramEditor #ZedEditor

While I still think #atproto is a great architecture (and love how tangled.org is developing), I can't help but notice how much #Bluesky interactions seem to orbit around a few hundred popular accounts while Mastodon always had this eye level feeling to me where everyone interacts with everyone.

RE: https://mastodon.social/@gamingonlinux/116958382115564493 So @mozilla shut down their own Mastodon instance, don''t post on their mastodon.social account anymore either, have no official Firefox presence on the Fediverse anymore (besides developer-focused accounts @firefoxwebdevs and […]

Ah yes, DHH is certainly who we should look towards for how to govern the NixOS foundation. /s This blog post is the wildest shit I had to read in a while. https://fzakaria.com/2026/07/18/how-to-piss-off-your-nix-friends #NixOS #Nix

If you're using the Gram code editor and are looking for a more convenient way to build extensions for it with Nix... I made something. https://codeberg.org/niklaskorz/nix-gram-extensions #Gram #Zed #NixOS #Nix

Does #Loops yet fully federate with #PeerTube? Can I subscribe to Loops users and watch their videos from within PeerTube and/or the other way around? #ActivityPub #Fediverse

The Declaration of Independence specifies 27 grievances with King George III and Britain. Donald Trump and his regime have committed at least 20 of those same offenses highlighted in yellow. Happy 250, America!

I've admittedly become more intrigued by #ATProto recently, mainly because of #Eurosky and #Tangled. I don't necessarily think of it as an us vs them anymore (Fediverse and ATmosphere), just different focuses that have their pros and cons. I prefer the vibe over here on the Fediverse as well as […]
