I went from Fukuoka to Tokyo with a Shinkansen today. That's roughly 1.000 km. It took less than 5 hours. The train was, of course, on time, it was a super silent, super smooth ride. More in the video below. Europe, you missed the last 30 (or 50 ?) years.
