My office this morning was a café while my car got a particularly expensive 6yr service because changing the plugs on this boxer is virtually an engine-out job. Imagine sticking the oil-filter on top like that but making the spark-plugs inaccessible

6 years ago today I took delivery of the BRZ so just gave it a birthday bath. It’s been faultless of course and fun every drive. Great car

Passed the annual test with the BRZ no problem but like every year had to explain to the tester that's there's nothing wrong with the rear brake symmetry, it's the LSD fighting an asymmetrical rolling road. The inconsistent results across the axle always confuses them

The warm feeling of relief seeing this. Alfa Romeo can still do it. Let’s hope that their next generation of cars really do share this design language and execution. Make mine a little 2+2, I would love to replace my BRZ with another Alfa Romeo. Come home, babe, I’ll forgive you for leaving me

Alfa Romeo offers a first glimpse at the future of Quadrifoglio with the V6-powered Cuorerosso coupe concept.

You think that Darwinian evolution is something that takes millennia of random mutations and survival of the fittest and then you notice how your neighbourhood cats have adapted to the local gardens within maybe 25 years

Watching the Goodwood Revival last week I was inspired by the simplicity of the early 60s Formula Juniors - 400kg, 100bhp, skinny tyres, no downforce, yet they were lapping as fast as a Porsche GT3. A modern interpretation of these could make a great cheap track car. So I sketched a quick concept

I've had lots of encouragement to continue developing this idea. Could be a feeder series or a rented arrive-and-drive track car. Formula eJunior anyone?

I don’t want a new Muppet Show from people looking for a premise. How is it possible that there are 8 billion people in the world who all know what The Muppet Show is about but this is being handled by the only 7 people who don’t?!

There are currently no active conversations for a full ‘MUPPET SHOW’ series revival. Disney, The Muppets Studio and Point Grey Pictures have had difficulties with deciding on a premise for the series that they can all agree on. (Source: Deadline)

The only folding phone I’d want back. From a purely tactile and form-factor point of view this Ericsson T28 was my favourite phone. Small, solid, ergonomic, and looked and felt great. Don’t know how you’d get it to work or make sense as a modern smartphone but it’s still peak cellphone design to me

Saw one of my favourite bands, Monica Sex, (yes that’s the band name), at a free craft fair this morning. They were huge in 90s Israel, still are. This is kind of the equivalent of seeing The Manic Street Preachers at a village fete

Post a picture of you from another era 📸 21 years old, 1996, all dreams and plans while living the moment. “those few excruciating and exhilarating days during which naïveté and wisdom stare each other down, before they strike whatever truce, in your life, keeps you from imploding"

Just seen that I’m heavily quoted in this article. Coincidentally I’ve recently been discussing ideas for a new police car design

So much "sinister," why? tinyurl.com/5n96bm3j

“Nir” actually means a ploughed field, ready for planting. This is an old tool used for making a Nir. It was a popular name in 1970s Israel and has had a recent resurgence post 7th October following the destruction to communities like Nir Oz and need for regrowth from that raw potential of a Nir

Been helping the Afeka College of Engineering team with their solar racing car. The students designed it as a low drag teardrop so I helped out with the graphics. Masked it up this afternoon, the black bits here are still just Photoshop, so that the painter knows what to do tomorrow

60 years ago today probably the most significant, influential album ever was released. It is hard to imagine how Revolver must have sounded in 1966, but Mad Men did a reasonable job of trying to explain that this was the moment the 60s actually began. "Start with this one" youtu.be/6OquASU1y5A

I think that what we really need is Gonzo, Fozzie, and Bunsen doing Top Gear (even though we all know that Animal is the best driver and has an epic collection of old Ferraris)

The Gameboy is now older than Matchbox cars were when the Gameboy came out. And quite a bit older than Lego bricks and the Hula Hoop

Me staring at best buy assistant manager : i have gameboys older than u

My daughter is doing a survival course. It’s good to know that if our lives are ever in danger, and the only escape route is across a body of water, and all we have is some rope, bamboo, 16 wooden pallets, and 24 empty oil drums, that she’ll be able to build us a raft

you could do a really heartwarming Muppet F1 movie. Kermit's in charge of a struggling team, just trying to keep the factory lights on with janitor Frank the dog warning him about bailiffs while Gonzo and Rizzo try to convince him to let them do unconventional aerodynamic testing.
