Unfortunately, she lives in Texas, the same state that pushed Bluesky to globally lock account access behind age verification. I'm not 100% on whether mu.social is also affected since it is based in Europe, if it is, then these might be my final few posts on Bluesky. ๐งต 5/6
With the continued nagging by my "loving" mother, I SNAPPED. I was pushed to the point of yelling and throwing objects in my immediate reach because I was not allowed to SLEEP, something I NEED to do in order to SURVIVE! All because I still had dirty dishes and guests were coming over. FML ๐งต 3/4?
This reminds me of a very bizarre time when on Google Maps, the 'Mayr Field' in Freedom Park (Leesburg, Virginia) was misnamed as 'Hyrule Field'. It's no longer a listed location on Google Maps for obvious reasons, but I still have two images from the time to show that this was in fact very real.
The municipality of Zaragoza in Spain contains a "video game neighborhood" that began development in 2010 with a street called "Avenida de Sรบper Mario Bros" and has since expanded to 10 streets named after various video game franchises.
For those who are curious, I'm also on Newgrounds. nmcastralsnowstorm.newgrounds.com
It's September, and you know what that means? No, it doesn't mean fish, it means I'm officially Internet Archive-pilled. archive.org/details/@nmc... There won't be anything on there until I get finished with an upcoming art piece that I hope to have finished by the end of the day (Central time)
So it turns out, I might've been wrong, twice. What I've discovered seems to suggest that although my internet was working fine (for the most part), it was actually my computer's operating system's runtime that was the problem.
On second thought, I suspect my internet might be kinda crap, as there's other pages that seem to struggle with loading from time to time.
#pikmin OG's will remember something similar to this happening in 2023.
It's been one year since the "Clippy movement" started. Big Tech is so scared of them! Honestly, that later trend over a number had more impact than that movement. And if Clippy were still around, didn't get phased out in the 2000s, he'll be exactly be like what Copilot is today.
So here's something stupid that I just recently figured out how to do, I replaced the thumbnail of _paint.net project files. If you are curious on how I managed to do that, I have (currently incomplete) documentation on how the format works over on GitHub. github.com/TheAstralSno...
This just in for a quick little update, I noticed that GNU GRUB can be displayed in the GPU's state of confusion with a garbled color palette.
So I decided to disable Compatibility Support Module on my main PC so I can assure I am using EFI boot, but I wasn't expecting THIS. For some reason, doing this made my GPU output some absurd stuff while it shouldn't be receiving an image signal.
It's surprising to see a Windows 11 era version of an app still being able to run on Windows as far back as Windows 2000 RTM. Though, I suppose if it isn't broken, it's not worth fixing. And if that really is the case, then kudos to Igor Pavlov for creating a codebase that stood the test of time.
7-Zip is so OP for still supporting Windows 2000... RTM (aka no service packs installed) in 2026!
Peculiar encounter, sure, but... Yikes ๐ฌ Something about that tells me my time here may be ending sooner than expected. If worse does come for worse, I'll plug my Mastodon account right quick. mastodon.social/@AstralSnows...
