This is not the only city fighting against the influx of datacenters, backed by billionaires and corporate interests that pay off the people who are meant to represent THE PEOPLE.

In New Jersey, #AndoverTownship residents forced their council to REVERSE a datacenter ordinance when they were LEFT OUT OF THE CONVERSATION ENTIRELY.

We don't stand by even Democratic leadership decisions that aim to subsidize these behemoths, give them tax breaks and low energy rates, and threaten to suck up our water and hard earned MUNICIPAL ENERGY.

While Eversource and Xfinity and Verizon charge hand over fist across the state, Westfield electric, gas, and internet stays affordable by comparison, and most importantly: owned by the people.
