The Gira is a parasitic plant that grows roots through the nervous system to the brain of its host where it stimulates rapid muscle and bone growth. When the host is large enough, the gira spreads seeds from on high to drift down on other creatures. Its main host is the affe, a slow pudgy little guy

In large numbers the gira causes massive bursts of growth, tearing skin and muscle and significantly shortening the host's lifespan. However, in cases where only 1 or 2 Gira attach to a host the relationship becomes almost symbiotic, with the gira bolstering its natural growth beyond normal limits

Rhinos affected by Gira use their strengthened muscles, height, and larger horns to fling rivals and would-be predators high into the air. Crocodiles affected by gira move to the trees- climbing with longer arms and prehensile tails to ambush prey from a distance with their elongated necks.

Xenoblade Chronicles X - Sylvalum. This game still has some of the most gorgeous environments I've ever seen, great mech design, and some of Hiroyuki Sawano's best work. Even if you don't play the game go listen to the soundtrack - Sylvalum, Theme X, Don't Worry(2XDV), Ma-non ship, Oblivia, etc
