Les militants fascistes ont attaqués des manifestants rue de la Loge sous les yeux de la police, quand les manifestants ont répliqués, la police a chargé pour les protéger et les miliciens ont frappés les gens à terre ! #Montpellier #24octobre #ViolencesPolicieres @info.gouv.fr

@beanjie.bsky.social give them some time and they are finally gonna put the structure of pokémon rom hacks into commercials jrpg.

Final Fantasy 7 Revelation will let players automatically raise their character’s level at points, Naoki Hamaguchi says. The option is aimed at players who just want to ignore the side content and play the main story, but are underpowered as a result. www.videogameschronicle.com/news/final-f...

extremely involontary funny moment in my gameplay of final fantasy, where after struggling to go to the depth of a cave the resident vampire who made a speech saying how everything is meant to die was one shot by my monk.

Out of morbid curiosity and deep stupidity, I decided to make possibly the worst financial decision of my life and bought a copy. It's already a lot. I think it might break me.

Hey give me a daifukkatsu port But hold the replay and practice mode! And also hold the previous bonus modes! Give me a daifukkatsu port with nothing!

That sound like a cool idea until you realize that "common experience" is actually as vague as "developer intent" if not more. Should you emulate a cheap but common configuration or an expensive one ? On one hand the cheap configuration was the most common, but it wasn’t really by choice.

This post is unavailable.

That not even counting some very realistic things that are really garbage, like sonic 1 megadrive not having a proper pal version. The true retro experience if you are european would be to play the game in slow motion but nobody does that because it’s stupid.

Seeing sanvein in my duckstation list game reminded me that the game is at his most interesting when you can not just complete every hexagon and get a crazy high score, but there is no reason to score on higher difficulties since the game just lump all your high scores together.

Maybe they haven’t played similar games, but it always left in my month a taste of "I want to be smart without admitting that the games I like might be flawed too". Like, the optimal dq strategy since the snes is to set everyone on auto and maybe equip the sword if there is 1 enemy on screen.

There is a ff 12 in the tags IDK what the article say, but if the writer think that being able to let the game play itself and not that a ultra simple ai can play a rpg with 90% efficiency, he might be unable to see the forest for the trees.

JRPG fans seems to see on screens encounters as either a qol or a casualisation of the genre, but I think there is a core reason why developers tend to like them : they are envious of the depth of interaction between terrain and enemies in action game.

In jrpg with random encounters however the only way enemies interact with the dungeon layout is by punishing the player for not taking the shortest path from point a to point b, which git a bit repetitive after a while. I’d like to see a roguelike-inspired rpg, that would add a ton of depth i think.

I’m gonna use zelda as a point of comparision to make my case more clear : In the old game that were more rpg inspired, encountering an enemy in a locked room or in the dungeon force you to take the layout in account on how to defeat him.

Reddit launched his age verification requirement where I live, I got randomly hit by a window telling me to give my info to persona for watching a picture of a sweater NSFW posts don’t appear anywhere anymore, like I can’t even see the few I made myself.

Kinda mean meme if you need to slander someone in a video game conversation (there is no game exemple because the text is already way to specifically loaded as it is)

Unlocked mewtwo in melee yesterday (that was more of a grind than anything else), got game and watch by clearing target test with all the characters I lacked today. Crazy what you can do when you turn off the computer from time to time.

Finally did it! Just beaten Radiant Silvergun scenario mode on very hard! (I hope I finally made a post without a typo)

I feel I’m on crazy pill, because all the replies are saying "imagine thinking a game where a button does a action instead of having to use combinaison to access all your actions is simpler" and I’m like YES ?! IT IS ?!

GuileWinQuote@guilewinquote.bsky.social

why is every fighting game getting simpler and simpler but their control schemes are getting more and more bloated why the fuck are tag and assemble two different buttons why why why this genre is driving me crazy 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

What do you want to use to type a message? A keyboard where each key is linked to a single letter or a keyboard for one button for the whole alphabet and then using morse code? Or even going less extreme, using theses old phone keyboard where you have to type three times to get a letter?

I remember reading that chronical procrastination can be caused by the brain treating an urgent task as a threat and wanting to get away from it IDK the exact formulation and it was from a random, but it would explain a thing or two.

Played a game of checkers yesterday 1) I think I beg you to stop saying checkers for "stupid game for toddlers who can’t even play chess" 2) Puzzle games fans should check out checkers.

Was reading a manga because the stairs were stuck, went upstairs for a short moment where they were available because I wanted to work a little bit. As soon as I’ve went from seeing the manga as something I wanted to do to a distraction I focused on it like that lock in gif. What is my problem

So when I was checking by curiosity the comment on a recent chapter of a low-brow fetish manga that more than vagueposting about it might get me nuked from some of my followers and saw "Oh yeah this means that this character is from kobyashi family" I thought "is this some kind of reference ?"

Litterally bugged out when I found out both manga had the same writer And after checking Kobayashi… Nah that isn’t that surprising. They should put a big warning sign "made by suspicious otaku for weird otakus" cause I can’t imagine the number of people who got flashbanged by the actual content.

Like I know that it had problematic™ content, but I expected it for the most part to be a more hinged jahy-sama in terms of tone with yuri undertone and the occasional running gag or weird shot that make peoples lift an eyebrow

Was thinking about this stuff while reading a fanfic of a visual novel. The easiest thing to do for imagining the character is just to portray their sprites in your head, but on dialogues where which sprite would be used is ambiguous, changing it could have massive effects on the scene’s perception.

It was also a forum quest so I was thinking a bit on what a comic quest with actual funds could look like, so I tried to imagine for a few seconds what this dialogue heavy fic would look like as a comic, and that’s how after spinning the problem a few times i came to this conclusion.

Gaslight yourself into thinking deltarune is somehow a live service game, it does what live service game want to do (have a big fanbase and progressively deliver a story) but without the cons. Or play a random forum quest and get annoyed that people are idiot that vote wrong. anything really.

Xythar@xythar.bsky.social

"what new live service game do I pick up now that the one I play is closing" none of them. be free

new star fox game is all the weirder because super mario galaxy had a small star fox presentation in a different style that the one used in the rest of the movie so it would have made sense to think that they were testing the water for the artstyle in the new game or something.

also I didn’t thought they would do a remake of 64 again after zero didn’t sell well but I guess they don’t have much trust in whoever they commissioned the game "starfox is a franchise about fox going on adventures ! Like beating andross on the venom planet, beating andross, or beating andross"

Overall, that’s not an expression I like to use but concentration feels like a crutch, like it recharge so fast it’s not an interesting ressource to manage, it make the action part very easy, but there are things that go from annoying to tolerable once you begin spamming it (hangman gambit 2).
