Been writing like crazy lately. I gotta say, I really love Markdown. I don't know why online Notepads are so obsessed with Rich Text editors. Just build a good Markdown renderer ffs.

My @bsky.app experience is hitting mute account on 90% of my Discovery tab because "see less like this" does nothing against the flood of American politics that I (as a Finnish person) don't have the energy to care about. In general I avoid politics on social media but seems impossible here 🫤

shapes their whole orientation to RP. It's much more scripted and less cohesive with the rest of the community, because they rely on their chosen narrator, instead of the game itself to dictate the events in the lives of their character. RP-PVP invites people who are much more willing to include any

event in the game as canon to their character's story. They want to have a guild meeting at a contested zone? Their guild is ready to fight back any intruders (boom, organic world pvp). RP-PVE is character first, game second. RP-PVP is game first, character second. And some of us love the latter.

the game, instead of against it. My experience is that RP-PVE players tend to heavily regard the game itself as a mere backdrop for the stories they want to tell. They want to go to a "CONTESTED" zone for a guild meeting and view getting attacked as an inconvenience for what they had in mind. Even

saying things like "that would RUIN the event". This is a great example of them trying to go against the game design. It's a contested zone. On RP-PVP, that must factor into the In Character choices the player makes. On PVE, they have the freedom to ignore the "realities" of the game world and that

In Turkey, an elderly man who earns his living by shining shoes is visited every morning at the same time by a cat that asks to have its fur brushed. The man never turns down this little friend.😍👍💙

Excited to finally launch the Tantra112.app by Hareesh Wallis, author of Tantra Illuminated! The revered 9th-century nondual meditation manual, the Vijñāna-bhairava-tantra, transmitted directly from Sanskrit to the modern practitioner. #classicaltantra #tantra #meditation #nonduality #spirituality

Don't get me wrong, Dark Souls and ER are both beautiful games with superb map design and interesting worlds. I can understand the appeal of the systematic combat. But I still don't like it. And I think souls-likes are overrated. And yes I did complete Dark Souls (and soon ER). #hottake

Screaming to the void: I WISH someone made a game like Satisfactory, but with a fantasy theme. Maybe some crazy potion shop. Magic. Whatever. With ASMRish soundscape. Let me look at pretty sparkly stones, potions and widgets on a magical conveyor belt while hearing bubbling, popping and fizzing.

This was such a great conversation. Very timely, especially for people who think that meditation is just shutting oneself away from the troubles currently going on in the world. Or for anyone who indeed uses meditation just as a form of escapism or dissociation.

Dr. Tina Rasmussen joins Hareesh to discuss awakening amidst collective and personal difficulty. Spirituality isn't about sticking your head in the sand, meditation isn't escapism - they can empower you take real, tangible action when called. #Spirituality #Meditation #ClassicalTantra #Buddhism

This bobtail squid burrowing into the sand is already adorable, but please watch till the very end! It sticks out its little arms and earnestly sprinkles sand over itself 🦑𓂃◌𓈒𓐍

I have a Wacom Intuos2. I got it.... 25 years ago. If the drivers worked, it would work. It's sturdy as fuck. But Win10 broke the software at some point. Someone said they got it working on Linux Mint. I really hate the idea of having to replace this hardware purely due to software issues.

Pretty fun game. Hits mostly the same receptors in my head as Terraria and Minecraft though wish they had taken their time with the start - just because I've seen the copper phase doesn't mean I wanna just speed through it in a new game.

I've spent a lot of time researching ethics and climate impact of various products. Ironically AI makes that job a hell of a lot easier. Ethical consumerism is *exhausting* and more often than not, just checking for some cute green label doesn't really guarantee anything.

Elden Ring's world and visuals etc. are fucking A M A Z I N G and I love the exploration (esp. with reforged mod that rewards it) but if I wasn't playing coop (seamless mod), I'd never play it because I just find the mechanistic "if this, then that" souls-like gameplay boring. 1/3

Like I get no pleasure from beating a boss (solo). It just means I memorized a pattern. And the longer I have to spend time memorizing a pattern, the less interesting the boss fight becomes. I totally get why some people find it satisfying but for me it's just... sterile/clinical/dull. 2/3

Bummer because I'm fascinated by Miyazaki's worlds but the fights just aren't worth it. And I really don't like the mob reset at the grace/camp. Finding my fairly strong reactions to this interesting though. Especially because I'm fine with Monster Hunter (but it does have more randomness).
