Right. Strange things happening and why is the black kid dead?
This post is mainly for white folks to consider. I want to share something that may help you understand the reaction from Black folks who immediately looked at the Nolan Wells story and thought, “Something is foul here.” This isn’t proof that foul play occurred. It’s context. 🧵

If you watch one thing today make it this. Absolutely phenomenal debunking of the idea that social media and cell phones are causing a youth mental health crisis, and who that false narrative ultimately serves
I am an American patriot who believes in the founding principals Equality under the law One person one vote Freedom of speech Etc. etc. etc We are America 🇺🇸
This is demonstrably false. The political left has massive protests themed around the anti-monarchist ideals of America (No Kings), is embracing the legacy of the Union in the Civil War & the civil rights movement, &, unlike the Right, defends Constitutional rights Patriotism =/= national barbarism

My family gives me grief for putting away their sh*t. They'd prefer that it just live wherever they leave it--like a crowbar in the laundry room, a yoyo on the couch, or a backpack directly in front of the front door.
There's this aspect of the mental load we don't talk enough about--having to know where everybody's sh*t is. I think it's a vicious cycle, where mom does most of the tidying up, so she's putting other people's sh*t away, but then when other people need their sh*t, mom has to tell them where it is.

Yes, this sounds important. AI is unpopular with some advanced thinkers on all sides… however, it’s not going away. Someone with some sense and actual morals should be doing this? Any nominations?
It seems suddenly relevant to repeat this: we should be building lots of little, independent, community-controlled and open alternatives to Big AI.
