I wonder if, maybe, we could all agree that a piece of technology that doesn’t really require frequent new iterations might be the shifter on a car? Like it shouldn’t take me 20 minutes to figure out how to put the work car in reverse because that technology has existed for decades.

I keep seeing El Sayed ads that start with the fact that Rogers only lost in 2024 by 19,000 votes. But … his opponent was Elissa Slotkin who has the charisma of a bottle of windex and has proved she’s not up to the task every day since taking the oath of office.

Definitely not saying he has this handily in the bag - the candidate we deserved was Mallory McMorrow but these races aren’t the same - people didn’t like Slotkin for good reason. Thank god we didn’t end up with Stevens.

Happy to try and help the Mike Rogers campaign with some ideas for winning voters over since they seek to be confused with what a Platform is supposed to be - But in the meantime looking forward to enthusiastically voting for El Sayeed!

This will be the last season of #AHS I watch. The season is a mess, the returning characters are all acting out of character, everything seems shoehorned in for the sake of a plot (and the word plot is doing a lot of work in this sentence) finishing only because I started.

All I wanted to do was save $10 a month on my Peacock subscription by bundling it with my Apple One subscription and 48 hours later all I’ve got is Apple saying this is a Peacock problem and Peacock says it’s an Apple problem. First world problem but still frustrating.

For 5 years I was gaslit by my boss that I had little to offer, that my contributions were minimal, and that I didn't know how to do my job. This despite winning awards and being in high demand. I never understood the "People don't leave jobs, they leave bad bosses" thing more.

Contrast this to the four weeks I've spent under my new boss at the same job. I'm treated like a member of the team. My performance is recognized. And most importantly I don't want to throw up when I pull in the driveway anymore.

I don't need a parade for doing my job, but I do want to feel like I'm part of the organization instead of some weird extra that doesn't fit anywhere. All this to once again say that #LeadershipMatters and I am finally feeling like I'm turning a corner I've been wanting to turn for 5 years.

Today my boss let me know in that last year is last year, this year is this year and he has my back 100%. While I never want another learning opportunity as big as the one that knocked me on my ass last year, it’s nice to finally have a supportive leader in my corner. Leadership matters.

Tomorrow I get to rehash the big mistake I made last winter with my superintendent for the unpteenth time because we can’t apparently move on and keep going and I guess I’m the biggest problem they have to deal with? 🫠

And then claim fraud when Republicans lose elections.

Trump’s genius tariff strategy: 1. Declare across-the-board tariffs on nearly every nation on earth 2. Let companies pass the costs on to consumers 3. Raise the average household's costs by more than $1,700 in 2025 4. Give billions back to the massive corporations that jacked up prices

I cannot, and will not, vote for Hayley Stevens. And I’m not even sure I can hold my nose and pull the lever for her in November if she wins the primary. I have criticized many for purity tests in my day but this woman is horrible in every sense of the word. She has no business in the Senate.

There’s also a velociraptor and the talking head of a sex doll possessed by a psychotic goddess of unrequited love who wants to kill your mother and that’s not even the most remotely bat shit stuff once you hit book seven. But the story is also kind of deep and also you’ll sometimes tear up.

Those days when the app the SOS tells you to use for tracking driving hours crashes, locks you out and then deletes all your driving data so you decide to build your own with AI and after an hour you already have a more functional and easy to use product than the official app… Fuck Road Ready.

Mac version back and forth with the app review team is giving me serious “self checkout” vibes as they ask for a video that shows what the app does. It’s literally right there in the first run walkthrough but sure thing! 😂

The apps I'm working on will never pay the bills - it's a side project and labor of love - but it's one I truly believe in. We need to be productive but we need to keep our emotional health secure. Athena is the first step in bridging those gaps. www.olympuslifesoftware.com/post/emotion...

olympuslifesoftware.comEmotional Health vs Medical AppAthena is built with emotional health in mind - but it is NOT a medical app. I really wanted to spend a little bit of time surfacing what that means.Athena is not a medical app. It does not diagnose ...

This is really hard for some people to wrap their brains around but my philosophy has always been that we’re not here to work for others until we die. Art. Music. Travel. Leisure… there comes a point when we’ve earned this as our existence and I plan to enjoy as much as I can.

I have six school years left until I’m eligible and maybe I’ll stay longer. I LOVE what I do - but - leadership matters too and a lot can happen in that space of time. For now it’s comforting to know that I might have a more relaxed pace in a few quick years (school years go FAST!)

We’ll be on track to retire with little to no debt and I’ve broken out our pensions into bills (estimated way high with two car payments we’ll never have) medical and savings. We won’t be sailing the world on a yacht but we won’t be destitute or scrambling in an emergency.

I might work part time at a bakery for fun but only if I want to - my plan after working this hard for so long will be to enjoy life, see what I can, and enjoy a world without the responsibilities I’ve shouldered since getting my first job at 14.
