The United States has chosen Poland to host a new servicing centre for Patriot missiles, in a decision both countries have described as "historic". Poland says it was chosen ahead of rival bids from Germany, the Netherlands and Norway.

Germany’s economy minister, Katherina Reiche, has praised Poland as an “example of great success”, saying that it offers a model for other countries. She welcomed growing Polish investment in Germany, which she said was helping create jobs.

A former colleague of President Nawrocki from when he worked as a security guard in a hotel 20 years ago testified in court that he said it was possible to “make extra money bringing in girls”. Nawrocki is suing a news website for claiming that he helped procure prostitutes for guests.
