Deltarune fans have the opposite of short term memory loss The Ralsei-Asriel connection? Uhhh doesn't matter Find Her being an important phrase to the narrative? Uhhh doesn't matter All the connections to Undertale? Somehow, after the Undertale chapter, does not matter

In concept I like folding phones but in practice they just seem like such a bad idea lol As much as I love quirky gadgets and dislike the samey rectangle tablets, it's readily apparent folding phones are just not going to work out until we find a new super material.

I really really wanna yap about my big Deltarune theory but I really want it to be in video form before I yap publicly It's not even like the video is far from complete. I actually released it before but privated because the audio sucked and needed to be fixed and procrastination yaaaaay

So I don't really like the Switch 2 jailbreak being done with AI but The moral grandstanding against piracy and such is just. Ugh. No, piracy did not cause X studio to close down, or push Xbox into streaming games, or kill physical media or whatever. And frankly AI did not accelerate these things.

On a similar note, I am very much a person that supports piracy and jailbreaking and such. Pirate everything. TV, books, video games. Pirate stuff out of print, pirate from big companies, hell go ahead and pirate indies. Support what you think deserves support yes, but paywalls shouldn't stop you.

Play this shit, it's the best multiplat version of Tetris by far.

After a long wait, Apotris v4.2.0 is here! This update adds a new Android port, online multiplayer on various platforms, two new submodes for Marathon and Zen, plus a bunch more smaller additions and improvements! Downloads and full changelog at apotris.com/downloads.

Been playing the #Metroid Prime trilogy on hard mode lately (there is no 4) Prime 3... It's not bad but it Kinda Sucks First off it's just so railroaded. Like the map design is good but you can't really get lost. You're stuck on a narrow path, even post game cleanup is railroaded.

Rundas, awesome cool dude the game emphasized, just dies in two hyper modes on hard mode. Mogenar, first major boss, has a crap ton of HP, has barriers he can refill, these barriers have limited openings, an annoying morphball phase you do 3 times, & mandates hypermode to deal damage to his HP bar.

Say what you will about P2's rough edges, P3 feels downright unfinished. Ship stuff was blatantly cut down to basically nothing, combat balance does not exist, upgrades feel barely useful, and the game itself feels downright tiny. Oh well. Hopefully Prime 4 learns from these mistakes! (It Did Not)

Phazon grapple is lol. Welding is used once off of Skytown. Nova piercing is used like 3 times off of Homeworld. Lasso is also something you can't just use whenever, you gotta wait for the grapple prompt to even attempt to use it. Naturally hyper mode shot outclass everything else.

The balancing of the enemies themselves is downright bizarre. Enemies can go hyper, which just means your non hyper state is useless. Anything remotely annoying you just hyper mode. It feels tedious. Then the bosses...

Hyper mode is cool in concept but it's way too overcentralizing. It makes missiles even more useless, it's at max strength right out of the gate which makes non hyper beams also pretty useless. So just hyper beam everything and keep picking up hp orbs ggez. At least charge beam is good now I guess?

The upgrades are just... Not good. It's the "Twilight Princess" issue where things are useful exactly where they're designed to be used & nowhere else. Ice missiles freeze stuff in Bryyo and that's it. Phazon ball unlocks doors. Phazon missiles are niche at best. Energy grapple opens doors.

Uncharged shot spam is better DPS than anything else*, including missiles. Sooo. Yeah. No supers either. So tanks are just useless. Especially since they're refilled at the ship saves. Also going to mention ship missile expansions which uhhh. I don't think there's even 11 spots to use them.

How do I put this... I fixate on negativity, criticism. When there's something good I'm like "yeah is good" but then when something sucks, even just something small, I can just rant and write and yap for ages. I'm very passionate about things so it happens a lot...

Makes me feel bad when friends want feedback or criticism. I can pick out what they're doing wrong instantly and explain how to fix it. But when they're doing good it's "is good" again. So it just comes off as me being fake as hell.

Part of why I can't get projects done is that any kind of obstruction or significant task in a day I'm free just stops me cold Allergies? Can't do it Back hurt? Can't do it Bunch of chores? Can't do it Random anxiety spike? Can't do it Procrastinate too long? Can't do it I need ADHD drugz

#papermario Happy 22nd birthday for The Thousand-Year Door! Been playing Tower of Trials (a rouge-like mod) on da Gameboy phone. Runs great until somebody becomes dodgy lol Also shout-outs to my sister, who I played TTYD with growing up. Her favorite character is Vivian (do the math lol)

#Deltarune A thread about being "unused" or "in the code" from the perspective of video games The character "UNUSED" (almost certainly Dess), that you can only see by datamining, is... Vague AF.

It can be difficult if not impossible to escape. In games with save data, this often influences it directly and corrupts it. Usually horribly. It'll crash often. But if you're careful, you can achieve beneficial effects. Giving you items, making you stronger, skipping bosses, skipping to the end...

In the context of Deltarune, this would make sense to be a part of a Giygas style "prayer" segment. To overcome the odds a lone prayer reaches out to the darkest dark, lighting it up and giving control to UNUSED to save the day... Or make it even worse.

As for "being in the code," or how UNUSED got there, it reads as being more than just "they went out of bounds." Comparisons to Mother 1's empty "alternate world" are made of course, but to me I think it's more than even that in UNUSED's case.

Let's start with the concept of being unused. Unused, meaning could of been used. Therefore UNUSED *could* of been here. But they're gone. They're so thoroughly gone that it's probably impossible to reach them in normal gameplay.

On the topic of cute lil Gameboy games Game and Watch Gallery 1/2/3 are fun collections. Lots of fun visuals and stuff. Also they really expect you to lock TF in and get 800 points in every category on every game lol. Wowie 100% seems brutal.

Also been getting into a lot of niche-er games lately. Here's Mole Mania, with a color patch applied (I'm a sucker for GBC pallettes okay lol) Fun little sokoban adjacent game. Definitely recommend it if you're a Gameboy fan.

Been trying to address some bad audio latency on emulators on my phone Disabled this Dolby Atmos app. Might be placebo but also whatever audio improvement it gives also seems to be placebo so IDK lol Not enough for me though. Might dig through system files to reduce the audio buffer later. 🙃

If you know me, I Am Just Like This On a related note, I downloaded Sonic 3 AIR to my phone and wowie that's some bad audio latency lol. Like half a second easily. And nobody knows how to fix this yay

Deltarune fans are starting to just outright deny major facts & themes People will just look you square in the face and say "Don't Forget" and "Find Her" are just irrelevant track names. Like bro. Come TF on. Toby was right for calling out the fanbase, holy moly. The theorizing side is so bad now.

Time for my review for the #8bitdo FlipPad! #Emulation Let's start with the score and work from there. Easy 9/10*. I've had it for a week and been using it sooo much. I got it with the intent of reducing social media usage and it's been doing it's job really well. (Be sure to check alt text)->

...This. I had to carve up the bottom of my phone case to make it fit, no easy task. I don't even think my case is all that thick and yet it wasn't even close. It's one size (doesn't) fit all. No adjustor, no available variants, nothing. This was why I was hesitant and it wasn't unfounded.

All-in-all, I still love it. But you need to keep the phone case thing in mind before you jump in. Otherwise I would recommend this to anyone remotely interested in mobile emulation, it's that good. I plan to revisit my score in a month or two to see if it's just new toy syndrome.

You're essentially stuck with mono audio. That's the phone's fault but still. No way to use wired headphones. An aux jack where a hinge is would of been amazing. Could of rested on the screen better. I don't think it'll cause any serious issues but the peace of mind would of been great.

Now if it's so amazing to play with (within it's limitations), has a great form factor to bring everywhere, an ideal price point of 30 usd (playing your old favorites on the go for half the price of a full game that's inevitably mediocre? Sweet!), what's the catch?

What separates the Flip Pad from other phone controllers is the portability, the incredibly small size. It's the size of a credit card, though thicker of course. It's easily pocketable, the easiest of any phone controller. You can even plug it in backwards to keep it attached but out of the way.

As for the nit-picks... The dpad is *incredibly* clicky. Makes for a good fidget toy but it's a bit much for public spaces. Not gonna work for a doctor's office or under your desk at work. Buttons could of been bigger or the controller itself smaller, I feel.

You can get whackier with it than that. Games that use a sideways Wiimote are a cinch, but even GC/Wii level games that don't need analog sticks are easy to adapt to. Stuff like Paper Mario 64/TTYD or Kirby Air Ride are more than playable. You can potentially use touch buttons too if needed.

You can even play full on PC games directly on your phone nowadays. Gamehub lite and Game native make this possible & it works quite well with games like I've described, & of course browser ports. There's rumblings of an official Steam method coming soon. You can in fact play #Deltarune on the go.

In spite of the small size of the buttons it's actually very comfortable to play on. The layout is a little weird but it's not hard to adapt to. It is, naturally, built for 2D games that don't use a lot of buttons or are slow paced. Perfect way to make your phone a pokemon machine.

It's also very good for GBA and DS games. You can reasonably play even mixed buttons and touch games like Scribblenauts or TWEWY if you desire, or even games with gyro support like Kirby's Tilt and Tumble.

That feel when you take a bunch of photos to show off your new gadget but your face is reflected on the screen 🫠 Was gonna post a review on the 8bitdo flip pad buuuut yeah... Tldr for now though is that I love it, but there's a few issues.
