I think that either the Democratic Party leadership are either so stupid they're unable to read and use polls somehow suddenly or a major part of their policy going forward is explicitly racist and transphobic. Transphobia and supporting the Palestinian genocide doesn't poll well, so that's all.

This is really only possible because the leadership of the party refused to course correct for over a generation, continuously throwing away victory after victory to appease corporate Epstein class donors and enrich themselves at everyone else's expense. Now the momentum is too great to stop.

Their incompetence is so staggering - even if they genuinely hate trans women, you would assume victory would be more important, but they consistently ignore polling in favor of abusing their constituency - they've opened themselves up to something I never imagined, soc dem electoral takeover.

In the past I believed the DSA goal of assuming leadership at the national level was a pipe dream but their work would have useful downstream effects and it was worth doing to raise the credibility of leftist politics in the average person. Now I think they have at least a chance.

People don't turn out the vote to attack trans women, the Democratic base did not turn out to support bombing Palestine, these are non starters for a base that generally sees itself as progressive. I have a lot of critiques of liberals, but those are clear losers to them, too. On that we agree.

But before I build out, I have some unfinished construction to complete and I go back to my bedroom to rest and think. This has turned into some kind of turbo nerd space. My goal isn't really to ask for help and keep asking, because the amount of money I have to clear is frightening BUT I have the luxury of being able to pay it on credit which gives us flexibility but does force us to pay interest. My goal is to get breathing room to be creating stuff for you.
