“When a nurse is suspended for speaking up about patient safety and staffing concerns, every worker in New York City should be concerned,” said Brendan Griffith, President of the New York City Central Labor Council, AFL-CIO.
“Nurses have the right to advocate for patients & hold management accountable to contracts they've negotiated, without fear of retaliation. We stand with NYSNA in demanding that H+H lift this suspension, respect nurses' union rights, & honor its staffing commitments.”
Companies like Amazon control the work & collect the profits, but leave workers without basic protections. The Delivery Protection Act would hold these companies accountable & improve safety for both workers & communities.
Working people are struggling. Prices on gas, groceries, rent, utilities - everything is skyrocketing.
We need elected pro-worker candidates who will stand with workers and help create an economy that works for ALL of us.

Working people aren’t asking for luxury. We want some breathing room so we can actually live instead of barely making ends meet.
Everything is too expensive. We need elected leaders who will create an economy that works for all of us, not just billionaires.

Tech Supervisors at the New York City Ferry voted unanimously Thursday to join the Transport Workers Union of America, the culmination of a hugely successful first organizing wave at the property that also saw Ferry Captains along with Technicians and Welders join the TWU in the last three months.
“This is a complete and total victory for the TWU, organizing every work title, wall-to-wall at NYC Ferry, building worker power with industrial trade unionism,” TWU President John Samuelsen said.

NYC CLC, AFL-CIO President Brendan Griffith: Working people have an enormous stake in our democracy because every day elected officials make decisions that affect the ability of workers to earn a living.
Every eligible voter deserves to have their voice heard and their vote counted. These are principles that should unite us all, and the CLC is proud to support these efforts. nycclc.org/news/new-yor...

This economy is broken for working people.
The cost of everything is skyrocketing. Billionaires and CEOs are making record pay and bonuses while workers struggle to make ends meet.
Workers make this country run. It shouldn’t be this hard to stay afloat.
Shit’s too expensive, and Donald Trump and his allies don’t have a plan to get some relief for working people. They won’t even take responsibility for it.
The film and television industry is one of America’s greatest exports. Congress must act to keep good union jobs here at home. America’s unions urge Congress to pass the Motion Picture, Television, and Entertainment Revitalization Act. https://bit.ly/4yki76S
Working people are working harder than ever, yet our paychecks are stuck and CEOs are bringing home record pay and bonuses.
This election season, let’s elect candidates who will help make this economy work for all of us, not just the billionaire bosses.

It’s worrying that safety researchers at OpenAI were fired last week. Tech workers should be able to report concerns without fear of retaliation. Big Tech CEOs can’t regulate themselves. That’s why we need whistleblower protections and a real voice for tech workers.
8% of households are going hungry. 16% of adults can’t pay all their bills in full. 26% skipped medical care due to costs. ALL while billionaires rake in record pay and bonuses. This economy isn’t working for us. Let’s vote to change that.

Working people should not have to accept “bad things” from AI that could impact our lives.
We can’t let Big Tech billionaires regulate themselves. That’s how we got into this mess. We need real AI guardrails to protect our jobs and rights.
Working families nationwide are all saying the same thing: Shit’s too expensive. Groceries, rent, utilities, gas - everything is skyrocketing.
