I know, right?! Gods & Monsters hasn’t been folded up yet. Drop-In Deck Show has exceeded all expectations - but will close this weekend. Yet we already got the next five shows lining up at ALTR Gallery. This next one is for all the horse lovers:

If you did not make it to the opening event for Gods & Monsters — you still have a chance to see the art show and merch tables this Friday and Saturday, from 6pm to 9pm both nights. Like all but one event year round, this is a free and public event for all to attend.

Second night of Gods & Monsters brought out some grateful buyers. REMINDER: Buyers must collect their purchases on November 1rst, noon to 5pm — or make other arrangements with us. All artists who sold will receive payment up to 10-days after books close on this event. Keep an eye on your email.

OAC CEO: we need to stop at Home Depot before the show. OAC Gallery Coordinator: Why? We have all the supplies we need? OAC CEO: Juan needs bolts for his ear gauges. OAC Gallery Coordinator: … What?! Juan:

Terrific attendance for the first night at Gods & Monsters. We will be repeating this Saturday. Thanks to all who visited, those who volunteered, and all the amazingly talented people that made art for this event!

Gods & Monsters is coming THIS Friday and Saturday. And while the official annual Halloween/horror event has been running longer than anyone can account for… we did suddenly realize this is the TENTH ANNIVERSARY since OAC took it over. Yay. Here’s a treat:

OPENING EVENT THIS WEEKEND!!! Meet artists, skaters, and the crew of Rogue Citizen! Boards will remain up until mid October. (They can be purchased at ANY TIME Modist Brewing Co is open with the use of a smartphone and QR-code.)

Consider this a warning for how insane the coming Drop-In Deck show is going to be. While the show will be up until late October, it’s still first-come/first-serve if you want to purchase any of this art. Hope to see you at the opening.

The miniARTure show is on a hiatus, hoped to return next year. In that time, we will be hosting the Stampede! horse art show. There’s still three days left to apply; applications are free. Look for the application in comments:

Great times were had at Paleo Show opening. We also host gallery hours after, if anyone wants a chance to see the show or purchase more art. Sadly, there won’t be anymore Dino-trivia or prizes. But if you’re the type to avoid crowds, this moment is for you to view it all in peace and quiet.

OAC's policy includes a ban on images generated via AI. After years of research and debate, we've solidified this policy and included it in our artist contract: NO IMAGERY GENERATED BY AI. The new contract language allows OAC to ban artists caught using AI imagery AT ANY TIME.

Additionally: OAC will investigate any accusations of artists bad behavior, including use of AI in submissions. But claims MUST be verifiable, and include contact information allowing us to communicate with those making claims. OAC maintains anonymity of accusers, even if claims are not verified.

Otherworldly Arts Collective supports and celebrates creativity in our ever growing Twin Cities artist community. Opening ALTR Gallery over a year ago was a natural step in OAC's mission. With it, we can better serve artists with this space. ALTR will be available for rentals over the Summer.

You do not have to be a Minnesota/Twin Cities based artist to join our community. (However, be prepared to wrestle with the many complications of the postal system if you wish to participate in our art shows. We can offer guidance.)

Busy week coming up at ALTR Gallery: 1 of 4 lessons in ProCreate, by artist and tattooer Lana Bosak. Followed by figure drawing using traditional Chinese dress. Over to discussing all things death, dying, and living with death. * Death Cafe is free; register at OACMN.com for other events.
