Oakbound Studio

Weirdly entertaining flicking through a packaging brochure. I have toyed a few times with getting custom-printed tape and a label printer. Maybe now is the time. The shrink wrap machine is still some way off though!

For twelve years I have run Oakbound from available spaces around various homes- A bedroom in shared housing, a narrowboat, my father-in-law's shed, my shed and my attic studio. Now a big step has been taken. Oakbound's stock is no longer under my roof! A scary development, but also exciting.

MLG are amazing... and they still ship to Europe! So whether you pop in to browse in Bridlington or shop overseas they've got everything you need! youtu.be/VVrWaEINz74?...

As a union rep and game publisher myself, very happy to hear this! Generative AI exists to increase the profits of a company by sidelining skilled individuals. The result is devastating for creative industries and the environment. Plus everything looks bland. We're proud to support human artists.

Had a lot of fun with this adventure.

Morpcon, I am coming! 😁 Full table for Deepwood Shadows at Fanboy3 tomorrow.

So, here's something I was involved in. It was a really nice afternoon. I played with @oakboundstudio.bsky.social@bsky.brid.gy #ttrpg #rpg #fantasy #roleplaygame #fantasyrpg #nerdling www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Naw...

I hear you're doing shorts now father? youtube.com/shorts/DUWR2...

Post-Colours restock complete. The shop is full again... well, almost.

We're currently not shipping to the EU, BUT! Mighty Lancer are, and have just added our advent-ure calendar to their website. Hooray! Christmas in Europe is saved! www.mightylancergames.co.uk/products/dee...

I'll be running a game of Deepwood Shadows should anyone wish to see what it's all about.

Only 104 days until Christmas, only 80 days until you can start this year's advent-ure... but you can buy it now! oakbound.co.uk/product/deep...

It will soon be here... Strictly limited to 100 copies, don't miss out on yours! On sale Friday 11th September at Oakbound.co.uk

Colours, here we come!

The 2026 Oakbound Advent-ure Calendar is coming soon. Limited to 100 sets, so though it may be a while until December 1st don't delay getting your copy.

Colours! Newbury next weekend. Comes around fast don't it? Who will I see there?

The do-it-yourself adventure books for this year's Advent-ure calendar have arrived. Look out for Deep Midwinter going on sale next month. Limited run of 100 sets available.

Three hours left to own a piece of Fimm McCool history! 🤣 Available in Deathwing and Blood Angel flavour from an eBay near you.

There was no official BOYL this year, but several 'bootleg' events were on. We held Blood on the BOYL, a trial run of the Blood on the Snow scenario we hope to take to BOYL next year. In honour of Matthew Street who collected most of the models, did some stunning art and sadly never got to play it.

Check out Mini Wargames Mag for a bunch of multiplayer Shivershield action!

Goblins and wulver cultists get stuck in as the gnawlochs wait and watch for the outcome.

Demo games of Shivershield at IPMS Avon yesterday. Thanks to all who played and made it so much fun!

I'll be running demos of Shivershield at IPMS Avon next weekend. Will I see you there?

I've been enjoying reading Jim's account of tgis 3-way clash. Merfolk, Woodfolk and Hillfolk on the hunt for buried treasure. Always a joy seeing a multiplayer game of Shivershield, it works so well. Lots to keep everyone on their toes!

The fae and the bucca were getting along just fine until someone set a flipper too close to the gate.

Gnawlochs goin' thievin'.

Close enough to the tree for a high level inbush ambush? What do you think? #shivershield #fantasygames #miniwargames #miniaturewargames #wargaming #fantasyminiatures #tabletopgames #warhammer #frostgrave #burrows&badgers #malifaux #moonstone #arcworld #folklorefantasy #miniaturesgames #ttrpg #dnd

Really enjoying the insights of this valuable document. A glorious record of an incredible resource. Also a bittersweet, fitting tribute to an amazing man.

Fae queen getting netted and fishslapped... not once, but twice! And there was much rejoicing...

Hard to prove of course... but can you disprove? If you like a game that requires thought, planning and clever tactics don't be deceived by the whimsical charm! This game is devious!!! #skirmishwargames #miniwargames #miniaturewargames #miniaturewargaming #fantasygames #fantasywargames #wargames

It's hard enough to make a living in a creative industry without havibg your work fed into a LLM database to be ripped off for someone else's profit. Let's make sure credit and remuneration are given where due.

Final greenery. Would you like a holiday here?

Well on its way now. Why does it make me think of Blue Peter's Tracy Island?! 🤣
