I attended a private boarding school from grades three through eight (elementary school). A very long time ago. I just got a letter from them asking for an "alumni" contribution. Times are tough, I guess. Will I contribute? No way in hell.

I don't think we went from summer to fall in any sort of gradual way. One day the temps dropped 20 degrees and that was that.

Here in Nor'eater-land (the lower part), it has been raining steadily for days. I live about 6 miles inland from the ocean so I'm glad the streets aren't as flooded as the ocean resort nearby but I still haven't been out of the house for days.

You know the old advice about, “If you want to complain about a problem, suggest a solution.” Personally, I don think “vote them out” is the solution people think it will be.

3.75 years after my wife’s death. Yes, I think about her. Also, yes, I’d like female buddy to be friends with benefits. No, I would really not prefer to do the do the whole Internet dating thing. Am I being too picky.

In 1973 , Soylent Green was a movie with a dystopian environment we are accelerating toward. A movie that foretells a future that is no longer the stuff of science fiction.

I don’t know enough about the other Presidents that were assassinated. I know Lincoln and John Kennedy were good men. Where are the assassins for Trump. To me, it’s proof positive that he is doing the work of those who could change history, if they chose.

NO media 1000s are marching in DC to defend voting rights; 90 orgs signed on, Reuters sent photographers, but local media Bernie Sanders, AOC and Martin Luther King III attended Wa Post buried it A Black-led march is visible in DC only after somebody else reports it Repost the march they buried

Ok. I’m not in 1% but I’ll may be in the top 10%. I have insurance .Health care sucks. If I can get an appointment it is far in the future. Then they tell me”you’re just getting old,”

I’m not a real techy guy so maybe there’s some strange magic about giving your phone number and email to a company that promises to scour the Dark Web with them, Why would I want to do that?

Health care. Where I live it takes months to get the first appointment. Concierge health care is the future which will only exacerbate the gap between those who can afford healthcare out of pocket and those who can’t,

If our current situation has taught me anything it’s that we have been taught to hate. No amount of mothers’ love for her own child will change that.

Idea for sub and sandwich joints. Don’t make everything so damn big . Cut the potion size down, lower the price a touch. You avoid a lot of food waste and “take home” boxes. Probably get more customers, too.

A sign I’m getting old. I used to be able to figure out and fix small things even if I had to watch a YouTube video about it. Now I take things to someone with some expertise to fix. My iPhone sounds is the latest thing - notification sounds for mail, texts, voice mail, etc. it’s frustrating.

Let’s pretend the Dems swept the House and Senate and some Governorships. Will anything really change? Or will we just fund something to be mad at to keep the adrenaline pumping.

Sitting on my enclosed sunroom going through fantasy scenarios in my head. Not doing anything and feeling like a slug. I often wonder how much it would cost to move and live in another country. Canada? Malta? Someplace quiet without a lot of political upheaval.

People make a big, hairy deal about some addictions - drugs, alcohol. Even sex and eating. It’s a bunch of the other stuff while minor is annoying and can really get in the way of an enjoyable life. Especially when everyone keeps saying, “Oh, that’s not’s so bad.”

Speaking of addictions, finger nail biting is also bad. I bite mine until they bleed or hurt so bad I can hardly stand it. Nothing deters me, though.

Sugar addiction is a terrible thing. I’ve never been a heroinaddict. I’ve been an alcohol addict and sugar is just as bad. I can’t get enough even though I know it’s bad for me.

Have you ever been someplace where, when you looked around, you asked yourself, "Who are all these old people?" and realized you were one of them?
