This is just astonishingly great reporting. All of the crises the White House has claimed over the last 14 months were planned in advance. All of them. And however much contempt you have for media outlets who reverently relayed Trump's claim to have no relation to Project 2025, it isn't enough.

I’m no historian, economist, or sociologist. But I wonder how much of this narrative is leftover propaganda from the time. It seems possible to me that this rich empire was always doomed to fall apart because it was built on the backs of murder, espionage, exploitation, and manipulation…

Dragonball: Evolution. A steaming turd of a film. I knew it would be bad, but I hoped it’d be hilariously bad… no. It was just boring and lame the entire way through. It was an insultingly stupid movie with no respect for its audience.

fun question: what’s the maddest you’ve ever been leaving a movie theater? not necessarily worst movie you’ve seen, but the one that just pissed you off the most. mine is Batman v Superman

America is being run by people whose social media presence would see them getting fired from a part time job stacking shelves. If you worked at Aldi and posted a video of you pouring shit all over Aldi customers, you wouldn't work at Aldi.

For me, it was Paperboy 2 on the NES. The game over screen in that game scared the shit out of me as a kid for some reason.

What was the first video game that scared you? It doesn't have to be a horror game. Maybe you didn't even play it -- plenty of ads freaked me out as a kid.

You’ll have no teeth, no retirement, the children will work in cryptomines earning dogecoin to spend at the company shop, we’ll have the supermeasles, eggs’ll be $15/dozen, and the military will send you to a Salvadoran concentration camp for breathing wrong. But by god, America will be great again

this is a good post and "decadence" is a good way to think about a lot of things. true decadence is, eg, thinking you could let an insurrection go unpunished and the country would just keep chugging along nbd

Tapping the sign.

I understand it’s tempting to shit all over the lack of unity presented by the American political left. And most of them deserve it. I’m not going to tell you how to feel or think, but do remember: there are people VERY invested in maximizing the division among the left, to keep them disorganized.

It’s okay to be afraid and unsure right now. It’s easy to fall into a spiral of hopelessness, to let fear paralyze you… but remember: all you can do is your best. If all you can muster is going to work and making it through the day without crying, then you succeeded today. One day at a time.

You are up to date.
