DLSS 5 doesnt feel like its for gaming. It feels more like a test of technology to allow people to filter the world to their desires. No longer will you have to walk the streets under the tyranny of seeing women without makeup.

Every Toy Story movie is about Woody’s fear of being replaced, so here are my 5 minute pitches: By a funko pop, his friends are disappearing, leaving a lifeless statue behind. By videogames, he gets addicted to them, gets discovered and has to ratatouille his kid through a tournament.

Everytime star wars brings back a legacy character it makes it feel less like a galaxy and more like a neighbourhood. I fear any future star wars story will be burdened with asking ‘wheres grogu?’ instead of being able to focus on creating its own magic.

Assuming simulation theory, how do we allocate resources? Simulating billions of minds, or one mind fully across infinite conditions? If the latter, there’s an entire multiverse of you as Truman. So why you?

Got to appreciate how australia and japan turn up to the winter olympics only to do the sports that are cool as fuck. No way they’re gonna be seen dead wobbling about on a luge, why compete if you cant do a 1440 mid run?

Stormlight archive seems like it’d be a struggle to represent in live action. Game of thrones you can have entire episodes that are just medieval with no fantasy elements, whereas stormlight you have spren popping out of every orifice. Animated by the scavengers reign team could be a great fit tho

Ozempic ping pong diets will take the ski jumping world by storm once they realise they can glide on their spare skin

‘First american pope in the catholic church’s 2000 year history’, yeah but there were some extenuating circumstances for 1700 of those years

Create more content glamorising being a dumb teen and doing lots of drugs again to stop the covid generation developing into weird isolated misogynists. These covid kids need skins.

We need to stop introducing our worst politicians to elderly figureheads. The despair of meeting them is terrible for their health. First liz truss killed the queen and now jd vance got the pope. Keep trump away from my boy attenborough.

Nintendo theory: There exists a group in the company who fully believe that alternating between releasing good and bad consoles is vital to their long term success. They are doing their best to sabotage the console in any minor way they can to maintain balance in the world.

I cannot believe shrek 5 has memes and tiktok humour, back in my day shrek had layers. Layer 1: fart jokes Layer 2: pop culture musical numbers Layer 3: poop jokes They’re ruining it!!!

OpenAI already in the reaping stage. Maybe they’ll start pushing for regulation around data licensing if only to price out the competition.

Saw someone's knob and inflation fetish art on my discover page today. The dark clouds of people complaining about twitter are lifting, the light of strange internet niches peeking through. An exhilarating dopamine rush as I click 'Show less like this', knowing I'll miss them soon enough.

Reading Circe has gotten me back thinking about mythology. I find it interesting how fallible the Olympians are, more representing the real systems of control that are nigh impossible to dislodge. Personal stories and struggles told using the Gods as stand-ins to make the stories universal. 📚💙

Watching Schitt’s Creek again, Annie Murphy is such a good comedy actor, every word out of Alexis Rose’s mouth is hilarious and her prim rich girl mannerisms are perfect, elevates every scene shes in.

Rumours say that the new iPhone Air will be thin enough to cut with. Representatives of local gangs have expressed high interest in this development, many saying they will consider swapping from android if true. Tim apple is hoping this innovation will secure a foothold in the knife crime markets.

Whenever a random car pulls up beside me as im walking on the pavement i start to wonder is this a coincidence or is this the opening to my kidnapping memoir?

As a sucker for stories about people pursuing their dreams I loved Look Back, an anime film based on a one shot by Tatsuki Fujimoto(author of Chainsaw Man, which is also excellent). Beautifully animated and emotionally resonant for me. Well worth checking out.

You can tell bluesky is becoming more popular because half my feed is no longer burly furries with human nipples and dicks that would make anyone faint. Ive got posts by mark cuban instead. You dont know what you had till its gone.

Watched The Substance, quite liked it but it didn’t feel like it had enough in the concept for its long run time. Ironically more style than substance. Still worth a watch.

Ive been reading Prophet Song by Paul Lynch, its an excellent book exploring how authoritarianism affects those who cannot uproot and fight back, written in a paragraphless style that instills anxiety into every page. However it is the opposite of escapism, so i think itll be a dnf for now. 💙📚

Centrism has collapsed, it does not win against populism. Apathy and maintaining the status quo does not compete with the promise of change when people are struggling. The American democrats need to catch up and fight for meaningful change that people actually care about.

The right enabled trump because they were backed into a corner, and in doing so found far stronger political messaging, gaining a cult-like fanbase for whichever policies they back. The democrats are cornered now, so we will see how they respond.

The internet is showing its true power as a propaganda tool today, it learns what you hate, what you fear and provides more, more, more. An endless gushing siphon, all access all the time. Worming its way through your brain, eating away at the unnecessary, leaving only its simple solution.

Unpopular opinion but this Spirited Away movie is be pretty good, could learn a thing or two about storytelling from this Miyazaki guy, if he keeps at it he may have a real hit like the Minions movie.

Valheim is my favourite survival crafting game, solely due to the genius decision of adding a structural integrity system to the building. It’s simple but adds so much to the process of building, the limitations guiding your choices, the problem solving leading to a satisfying creative loop.

The hard bit of learning to analyse things is to still enjoy things you’re analysing. Concentrate too hard on the analysis aspect and you become emotionally detached from what you’re watching/playing, you dont feel the emotions the creators were trying to evoke.

I only return to twitter to look a kojima tweet about things he loves, its great seeing such an accomplished and influential creatives approach to media still being so positive. His ability to see the best in things must contribute to his continued success in game development.

The new sonic x shadow game looks like a lot of fun. Unfortunately I have to live by my ideals, and that means boycotting all sonic games until they bring back the sonic adventure 2 chao garden. Living with principles requires sacrifice.

Just finished reading ‘The Vegetarian’. Became interested in this after Han Kang won the Nobel prize. An extremely uncomfortable, engrossing read. Strong criticism of the intense patriarchy of korean society. Im sure I’ve missed many other themes and ideas present. This one will stick with me 💙📚

There are many times in the book where i found myself internally screaming at the POV characters and their inability/unwillingness to empathise. But it was the times where i found myself agreeing with the POV characters that made me feel most uncomfortable.

Ok hear me out, that whole trend where you post one book per day that inspired you but instead of no explanation you do it with explanation. The why is the interesting bit, without it it’s just feed clutter. 💙📚

Scrolling the discover feed on bluesky has opened my eyes to a lot body horror furry imagery that i would prefer not to have seen. But if its that or Elons tweets ill take the lion man with a canoe sized wang skeeting his heart out any day.

Just finished reading The Seven Moons of Maali Almeida after picking it up on a whim. A Sri Lankan Ghost Trick, Maali Almeida has to find a way of getting his collection of revealing photos of the civil war published and seen, this is made very difficult as he is dead. Highly recommend it 📚💙

A good way past decision paralysis on streaming services is to set something thoroughly mediocre as your backup if you cant pick anything. Been getting through daily movies by threatening myself with Rings of Power.

Now that bluesky has gotten more popular its time to start banning people. Personally id start with anyone who calls posts on here skeets(bleets is better).

‘Wow, that is an excellent game that I can’t wait to come back to’ I think upon closing. A day passes, then another, and another, leaving it to sit neglected on my hard drive, taunting me with its 63 minutes of playtime and glowing critical reception. Until I delete it and the cycle begins anew.
