Now that the dust has settled, it's time for our #OHBM2026 recap!! β¨
π± π The SEA-SIG had a very successful OHBM in the beautiful city of Bordeaux this year! Let's take the accomplishments one at a time!
And finally, a huge congratulations to the SEA-SIG's first Chair and founder, Charlotte Rae! π
She was this year's recipient of the Sustainability Award, and impressed us all with her thoughtful and impassioned acceptance speech where she championed the SEA-SIG and sustainable research practices π«
Thank you to everyone who attended our events, or stopped by our booth to chat. We are excited to continue growing our community of green-minded neuroimagers π± π π«
Thankfully, we have a lot to look forward to in upcoming months! Check back soon for more announcements and ways to get involved!

π± π The SEA-SIG had a very successful OHBM in the beautiful city of Bordeaux this year! Let's take the accomplishments one at a time!
In a first, we hosted a Climate Fresk Workshop for the SEA-SIG social this year. This was a resounding SUCCESS, with a greater attendance than anticipated! A beautiful night, and lots of collaborative connections formed over discussions on the effects of climate change and potential solutions.
This year was also the inaugural year of our SEA-SIG TRAVEL AWARD program!! π We were able to award funds to trainees who demonstrated that they were intentional and sustainable in their travel choices to attend #OHBM2026. Congrats to our recipients!

π± π The SEA-SIG had a very successful OHBM in the beautiful city of Bordeaux this year! Let's take the accomplishments one at a time!
This year, we hosted an Educational Course in collaboration with the @ohbmossig.bsky.social entitled: "The Research Lifestyle: A Primer on Open and Sustainable Science Practices"
This included informative talks from our very own @nicksouter.bsky.social and Nikhil Bhagwat!
We also held our own roundtable "Neuro(science) in Resistance"! We had a number ofstimulating discussions on this topic, spearheaded by talks from @clarekelly.bsky.social, Maximilien Chaumon, and Fernando Racimo!
We were so happy with the attendance and engagement we got for this session π
Congratulations to our first group of SEA-SIG Travel Award winners!! π These trainees were recognized for making more sustainable travel plans to get to the Annual Meeting this year in Bordeaux!
