i saw the guy on the left the other day from afar and thought it was the guy on the right

I finished playing the video game "Heaven's Vault." It was very good and I still have 100 questions. It wants me to play it again but it was a little slow and contemplative, which I very much liked the first time... they wrote books though. Should I read the books?

Bringing back the old classic "thank you for eventually doing the bare minimum, I hasten to grovel" from the old site

it has been brought to my attention that they put Jamie Paige featuring OK Glass into "fortnite." Stay safe out there

very happy to be back at the xylophone, I am playing it in different ways than I used to. have been learning Pachinko (The Pogues), Rondo Alla Turca (The Mozart), Nolita Fairytale (Vanessa Carlton), Powerhouse (Raymond Scott), Schizophrenia (Jukebox The Ghost). maybe some day you'll hear or see it

completely missed the news of Andy Burnham being appointed to UK prime minister four calendar months ago. i knew the flimsy man was removed but i just kind of assumed they were flying rudderless since then as they seem to do

one problem i have is that I Feel like i could lift a car. Not up over my head but like I feel like I could lift the front half enough to at least put the whole thing on its side I know I can't. But it just sort of seems like the thing I or anyone could do if sufficiently angry

Their rhythm section always blew me away too - always propulsive, creative yet unfussy. But it seemed to me like they got less brash after the first album, and I kinda stopped following the band. But they unearthed 2 full albums from the early days recently and it's exactly what I want

I dreamed I met someone who was, apparently, the new keyboardist of the art-rock studio project Zoos Of Berlin

I do completely love the original keyboardist. I wanted to ask the fictional dream keyboardist if they could show me how to play some of the parts the original person wrote but I was afraid of offending them

This album has a million colorful layers on every song weaving in and out of each other - one of the big reasons I love it so much. But in particular, check out the drums in the chorus

I had a dream that I knew a lot about the British colonial occupation of Bangladesh

out of curiosity i added the milk to the pour-over coffee filter after the coffee had been made. i don't think the taste is notably different but it did drip at the same tempo of the song i was listening to so there's that

NJ Transit is all fucked up, it's been 2 hours stuck trying to leave Penn. When we got kicked off a train that sat motionless for 40 minutes, on the escalator off the man in front of me turned around and asked me "chat, what just happened?"

Someone on the train I'm presently on, who presumably has been in the same predicament I've been in, just said "I'm fighting the feminine urge to lay down on that seat"

When I was a child, we drove (to Pennsylvania I think?) to a Gateway2000 Store to buy the family computer, it was Windows 95 time and they were cow print. I guess I liked it -ym dad found an old one-piece school desk someone threw out and my mom covered it in cow print vinyl for me. #brands

Abduction

It is impossible for me to conceive that there are classrooms with upwards of 1 child who know the weird little songs I make

Control, a game I have not played (bad at shooters/combat/3D, don't have strong enough hardware) but completely love because it is beautiful and lovingly designed, has an artbook that seems impossible to purchase but someone scanned ~100 pages for "Fandom Wiki." Look at THIS guy

cooking is magic because sometimes the most delicious thing in the planet is just bulgur and tomato and chickpea and onion. How

I rolled credits on TR-49 last night, it was real good. Very different from what I anticipated - based on discussion, I was braced for a hardcore puzzle-research game that tested my patience, but it was much smoother than I thought. I want to play it again on a physical version of the machine

I played Roottrees and Hypnospace this month too, and as much as I enjoyed them & especially their worldbuilding, I found myself getting a little weary of the mechanical actions of Searching at the end (probably because of how I arranged my own time). This game ended before I was ready - good?

That said, I put off playing it for months because I was afraid of the time/brainpower commitment. Now that I know it was more than manageable (despite the rumors I'd heard about it being for Puzzle Sickos), I feel better about the same perception I had for their earlier game Heaven's Vault
