Our seventh and final bun belongs to @mightyph.bsky.social ! Their kitsune spirit gal ended up making a fantastic bunny! She's not the first bunsune I've drawn for these YCHs either!

I'm sorry it's short notice, but I'll be doing some in-stream bunny YCHs today at a discounted price! I'll be starting in about 45 mins over at picarto.tv/kdhynamo!

Moving on, Talk about the main quest line. At no point did I ever really care about the story going on, until I got to the final two quests of the "rebuild" and "mine" story lines which suddenly required me to raise two npc's I had not really interacted with to 8 heart friendship (of 10)

It essentially full stopped all progress I was making because at no point in the game had it ever required reaching a specific heart level with any other villager. Luckily just though standard play both NPCs had reached 3 hearts, but to lock progress behind that was horribly aggravating.

So if you say, buy 200 feed to be split in two barns (100 for each) There is no combined storage, you have to put 100 in each. That means either buying 100, storing it, buying another 100 and storing it; or buying 200 then going to one barn and mashing the "store 1" button 100 times.

It makes no sense why you can hold the button to mass buy but not to store. You can store 1 or store all. Once stored you can also only remove 1 or remove all. It's 2026, what are we doing?

The only reason to craft the special feed is to get beads. What are beads? Theyre a single use currency that you can only use in groups of 10 or 100 to get random items; which in my mind... why bother?

Speaking of mass buying feed, I don't know if this was a bug or an intentional choice; but when buying items, you can hold down the button and mass buy. But you can't hold down the button to then transfer the items to storage.

On the other hand, grass grows at an extremely slow rate, to the point where it might as well not grow at all. Even though the ground is covered in "grass" unless its the grass sprite sticking up, your animals can't graze.

You'd think this would be more of a problem except money becomes so worthless fairly early on that you can just buy mass amounts of the basic feed. You could also craft feed eventually but frankly... the resources needed to craft it require you to basic feed to begin with.

Turns out, no. It was just a bug that sometimes your animals wont produce. I never did quite figure out the reason; some reports I read online seemed to think that it was related to days where it rains/snows. but I couldn't confirm that. It just seemed random when it would happen.

Speaking of animals. Grazing just isn't a thing in this game. It seems to be an intentional choice to make debris spawn at incredibly fast rates (causing most of your early game to be constantly clearing your farm)

To be clear: I'm not normally one to point out bugs; games are hard to make and frankly the game runs really smoothly. But the bugs I did encounter felt bad when they did happen

An example: There would be days where I would enter my barns/coop and animals would just... not have produced the night before. Even if they were properly fed and petted. I had this happen to me multiple times of the course of a week at some times, to the point where I was positive messing up.

This year alone, I've done new games of Stardew, Roots of Pacha, Coral Island, Rune Factory GoA, and Story of Seasons Grand Bazaar and every single one of them I would rather play again then doing a new game of FoM. And again, I really liked Mistria.

I'm just going to go through and list a bunch of the things I found really aggravating. This isn't a comprehensive list, its just some of the larger items that are really sticking with me.

To be clear off the bat, as someone who plays a lot of farm/life sim games, I ultimately really enjoyed FoM. Loved the art style and the game felt as good as Stardew to run around in (with some notable issues of getting regularly stuck on corners and edges and having to use the "unstick me" button)

There were just a lot of fundamental design decisions I just really disagreed with. Ones that initially I didn't mind, but as I got further and further into the game they became frustrating to a point where unlike many of the farm sims I play, I don't think I want to ever touch the game again.
