One of the telegraph towers of Wantael was already depicted in the background of one of @rimou.bsky.social's artworks, published last year. Different tower, different signal, same design!

Wantael Island's semaphore network was inaugurated nearly two centuries, in 2306 TCE, under Elman IV's reign. It has become a great source of pride for the islanders and is still active to this day, coexisting with modern telecommunication devices: telephones, teleprinters, radios, TVs, etc.

Extremely happy to be able to share this recent commission from @5suns.bsky.social, featuring a little crossover with some otherworldly explorers. Including @ometo.bsky.social's roecoon, Lani, who doesn't seem to fond of certain smaller locals taking an interest in his film stock.

Got myself a new rock! This is a cobalt spinel. Spinel is what gives it its beautiful electric blue colour. Thought the huge burdock leaves along the local river would provide a nice contrast! #Gems #Gemstone
