GPT-6.1 Sol is being used by @coderabbitai to help developers find security risks across complex codebases. https://openai.com/index/gpt-6-1-sol-coderabbit-code-security/
GPT-6.1 Terra is also coming to the API and Codex. Use Terra to build apps and agents that interpret images, navigate software, and take action. You get fast computer use at a lower cost, ideal for high-volume workflows.
GPT-6.1 Terra: delivering fast and capable computer use at a lower price. GPT-6.1 Terra understands what’s on screen, takes action across apps, writes naturally, and is a more capable model for your whole workday with the efficiency to take on more of it.

On Agents’ Last Exam, a benchmark that tests how well agents use complex professional software, GPT-6.1 Terra delivers Astra-level performance while completing tasks over 3x faster, at one-tenth the cost per token.
GPT-6.1 Terra is rolling out now and is available to all Plus, Pro, Enterprise, and Edu users in ChatGPT Work and Codex. Developers can also access it through the OpenAI API as gpt-6.1-terra. https://openai.com/index/introducing-gpt-6-1-terra/

During this red-teaming exercise, we also found a vulnerability that allows for unauthenticated remote code execution in Brotli, a widely-deployed compression library included in many pieces of software such as Node.js, Bun, and Envoy.
Over the past several months, we have substantially hardened the security of our research training environment.
We disclosed the vulnerability to Brotli and other downstream projects such as Node.js, which released or are currently releasing security updates, and Brotli cut new release versions and published a CVE. More details on the patch and mitigations below: https://patchtheplanet.org/brotli

We’ve reserved substantial compute for continuous red-teaming, and made high-compute red-teaming part of the safety cases we use to decide whether frontier training and evaluation can proceed securely. https://t.co/EmEZsFRMcF
We serve data in milliseconds to more than 1.2 billion users across 40 geographic regions. To reach that scale, we worked closely with @AzureCosmosDB on our storage architecture, achieving a 12x improvement in global median read latency.
Together, caching, replication, and the Python-to-Rust rewrite brought global median read latency from ~120ms to ~10ms. Product teams also have less infrastructure to manage, allowing them to move faster. https://openai.com/index/scaling-storage-one-billion-users-part-two/
Add near real-time decisions to your workflow with the Decisions API, now generally available. Build faster, more cost-efficient apps and agents that can classify text and images, evaluate inputs, and determine what happens next without generating a full model response.
Let your app choose the right model, tool, or action in near real-time with Decisions API, now available to all developers in public beta. The Decisions API makes decisions up to 10x faster than GPT-6 Luna through the Responses API.
• Images in individual question instructions so you can compare multiple images against a shared reference. • Up to 400 questions per request so you can make twice as many decisions in a single call. https://t.co/7LtPr2XjKW
Community banks deserve advanced tools to keep their operations safe. Through Daybreak for Frontline Defenders, we’re partnering with @ICBA to help community banks access AI-powered cyber defenses—and the training and support to use them.
This summer, we invited METR and Redwood Research to pilot an embedded evaluation of our internal monitoring system, providing deep access to our infrastructure over three weeks.
OpenAI models are coming to Google Cloud. We're bringing our frontier models and Codex agentic workflows to Google Cloud's Model Garden, so enterprises can use our technology where they already build. https://openai.com/index/openai-models-google-cloud/
The ChatGPT frontend shows eligible ads below the answer, labeled as sponsored. If an ad arrives after the answer is fully generated, it isn’t shown for that turn. ChatGPT’s answer doesn’t wait for ads. https://openai.com/index/building-chatgpt-ad-stack/
