Who doesn't love a faster website?

A friday morning release for @opnshelf.xyz, mostly behind the scene changes but it does include a big lists overhaul: Every list now has its own page and its own URL, so you can link one, bookmark it, or hand it to someone. The overview is a wall of covers instead of a sidebar of names.

Do note the app store update is still waiting for an Apple review, so that might take some time to become available!

Shipped a lot of @opnshelf.xyz this week: Reviews got a big upgrade: they're now their own records on the atproto network, with a proper editor on mobile and dedicated review pages. The fun part: you can mirror reviews to leaflet and new reviews can auto-post to Bluesky.

And we're back (again)! This time got labeled by the bsky labeler on accident, but after contacting support the account has been unsuspended.

Added @expo.dev EAS Update for @opnshelf.xyz, man that works great! And also really easy to trigger a new update.

New in @opnshelf.xyz : add items to your library, where you can select what format you have it on and what boxset it is a part of.

You can now add the people you follow to a circle, meaning you can easily filter the activity feed per circle. More cool features related to this are coming, so stay tuned!

I unducked this account! Apparently when i deleted my old PDS and started my new PDS I didn't enable crawling from bsky so this handle showed nothing... Well we're back now, but you might need to refollow. For now it'll be mostly reposts from my main account @rowanpaulflynn.dev that relate to this

Squashed a bunch of bugs in the web version of @opnshelf.xyz - Watch-history sync indicator while we backfill - Resilient TMDB + ingester (retries, caching, redelivery) - Server-side session expiry - Profile & review polish: markdown rendering, deep-linked reviews, delete confirmation

opnshelf.social now runs on Tranquil PDS! This means that you can sign up on the website and we no longer have to worry about spam! The form itself is protected by @cloudflare.social Turnstile and you need to verify an email address before your PDS account becomes accessible.

Lots of new stuff on @opnshelf.xyz, including a new PDS. Gotta squash a few bugs but then I'll record a few new videos!

Updated the @opnshelf.xyz landing screen to also contain a few screenshots so users can actually see the application before signing in!

You can now show other atproto apps on your profile, just activate it in your settings (you might need to refresh for us to find your profile).

Updated the onboarding for @opnshelf.xyz so it no longer auto "imports" all your follows but instead show your follows that are on opnshelf and if there are none, show the most active users.

Merged the redesign to the main branch and added search & profile pages today. Still missing some features such as onboarding, but getting there.

Okay so eventually I want to add books to @opnshelf.xyz but until then is there really no way to read a book twice on @goodreads?

People now have detail pages @opnshelf.xyz You can see all their movies and shows, mark them as watched and add them to lists. opnshelf.xyz/person/8691/...

New on teh onboarding view: uploading a profile picture! It gets saved to your PDS and you can change it later in settings as well. Was quite easy to add, especially because I didn't need to slam my head against S3 xD

Reworked the shelf page again, now has better pagination

Added an up to next section to the dashboard so you can see which episode to watch next!

New @opnshelf.xyz feature: onboarding! When you create an account, you now get to choose a display name and (optionally) import your history from Trakt.tv!

You can now create accounts @opnshelf.xyz Aka we have our own PDS: opnshelf.social, inspired by how @npmx.dev handles their Auth.

I've redone the search/discover so by default shows and movies are combined in a list sorted by popularity. Also watch an entire show from the results page

Redesigned the season & show page so you can now watch a whole show or season at once

I've now removed choosing accent colors, since that brought a bunch of contrast issues with it. Might bring them back later, but for now amber is the color. Fixed the poster colors making the buttons unreadable & added a dashboard page for logged in users

Did a bit of a redesing, you can now choose accent colors a la material (desing) you. Needs a bit more tweaking, but it's pretty cool

Added lists with default watch list and favorite list. Also switched to biome, i love the check command. You can now also choose a timezone and the app will save the dates in that timezone.
