We are very excited to announce that we will be publishing a fine press edition of THE ELEMENTALS by Michael McDowell!! We can’t wait to travel to the Alabama gulf coast and those 3 houses on the dunes.

Thank you @NetGalley What a RIDE! I can see why this book has been snapped up by A24UK & actor Benedict Cumberbatch to create a series. Here’s a book that grabs you by the collar and doesn’t stop shaking you until the pages are white 🤌✨I loved it and you will too! ☺️ @bingewriting.bsky.social

The Notted Island by Katherine Child, published 9th October 2025 What a month for publishing heartwarming children’s literature! I’ve been fortunate to pick up some gorgeously crafted books this month and The Notted Island is no exception! What a lovely story and what wonderful illustrations!

Always Remember by Charlie Mackesy, published 9th Oct ‘25 1/4 bound cloth in lavender, with foil stamped lettering on the spine. The pages are thick and luscious to touch with incredible illustrations in a variety of mediums throughout. This is a real treat to own because it is also signed! 💜

The Night Creatures: Firefly by Robert Macfarlane & Luke Adam Hawker, published 23rd Oct ‘25 I picked up one of the 1,000 special edition copies which include a print signed by both author and illustrator 😍 This is out now, and I cannot recommend it enough!

Happy publication day to Philip Pullman’s Book of Dust 3 / The Rose Field. 🌹 I’m anxiously awaiting my gorgeous slipcase edition. Travel safe, lil guy 🥺

Wow! 🤩 What an insightful and fascinating book! I love the voice and style in which it was written. Even if you’re a techno-n00b like me, this really is a book for everyone to pick up and enjoy ☺️ #TimBernersLee #ThisIsForEveryone @timbl.bsky.social

I’ve been so excited to recieve this book and here it is! 🎃 ‘AFTER MIDNIGHT- 13 Chilling Tales by Daphne Du Maurier’ + intro by Stephen King 👻 What a gorgeous book! This is the exclusive indie bookshop edition, purchased through the wonderful indie Golden Hare Books 🥰

She has arrived! 🤩 happy publication to The Poisoned King by Katherine Rundell (officially in 11th Sep)💚 Another wonderful book by this amazing author 💚

Thanks to NetGallery for early reading! ❤️ A delightfully cosy novel, perfect for fans of Agatha Christie & Christmas. 🎄The game of Cluedo from its humble beginnings, and how the original inventors encountered their own murder mystery before it inspired the beloved board game.🎲 Coming 9th Sep ‘25

Penguin x Waterstones: 100th Clothbound Celebration What an incredible panel, I have come away feeling so awed by the brilliant Coralie Bickford-Smith. Plus, she was super kind to sign our books on a hand-made bookplate! How cool is that

Here’s a fantastic collection of poetry I picked up today called ‘Flatrock.’ It proves that poems are as relevant today as ever. A hard-hitting raw collection by the brilliant Fran Lock. I highly recommend!

Posting this old bookbinding project to remind myself to get back into bookbinding! I wish there were more opportunities for weird/unique things like this in illustration; maybe for a super-special-very-limited edition book? ✨

Oh boy! Bookfest 2025 at Waterstones Piccadilly was wild. Not in a fun way, but a sweaty, over-crowded & suffocating kind of way. Feel sorry for all involved, including staff who had a day of chaos. 😳🤯😭

Thanks to NetGallery, I had the privilege of reading The Murder at World’s End by Ross Montgomery, expected publication Oct ‘25. I howled with laughter! It was brilliant! Cosy old-timey murder mysteries are my weakness, and I wish this story every success! Go check it out and pre-order now! ❤️

Had the pleasure of seeing Philip Pullman at the Royal Geographical Society, hosted by Waterstones. His editor David Fickling joined him, and it was hosted by the brilliant Jane Trenter who did a marvellous job. It has changed my life and I feel so inspired. I hope they release the recording. ✨

‘HORSE! Folk customs of the British isles’ by S. Cousins 🐴 👻 I am an avid collector of odd little books, and I picked up this gem from ‘Gosh! comics’ located in Soho, London (amazing shop with super friendly people) If you’re local, I highly recommend you check it out 💛 @goshcomics.bsky.social

I’ve just finished reading an advance copy of Katherine Rundell’s ‘The Poisoned King’ and can confirm that it’s just as magical as the first book ‘Impossible Creatures.’ ✨🦜💚🤩 Wishing this book every success on publication day this September! 🐲

Is anyone else excited for this beautiful book? ✨ 🌙 The Night Creatures: Firefly By Robert Macfarlane (author) & Luke Adam Hawker (illustrator) 💫 Plus the Waterstones exclusive edition comes with a signed print 😍 Coming 23/10/2025

Alice with a Why by Anna James ⭐️ Overview: 🦇 A delightful book that will please the new generation, and hopefully convince them to read the original too. This is a very sweet and light-hearted story, with lots of tongue-twisters and play on familiar phrases, such as ‘for the Time Being.’ 🐈🎩 ☕️

You are up to date.
