Collins: “What influence does Cheney have today? Really, none…It’s not just that she lost her seat. It’s that she has no impact, in my view.” "This was rich coming from the woman famous for her limp-wristed hand waves on everything from Iran to tariffs, to Trump’s rampant corruption to ..."
Susan Collins: Profile in Irrelevance: Collins knew that every word Cheney said was right. Cheney was willing to stand up; and she was willing to pay the price. But as the party descended into dishonor, Susan Collins stood by wringing her hands. charliesykes.substack.com/p/susan-coll...

MAGA is destroying all that is Pretti or Good.
On both the Renee Good and Alex Pretti situations: If the federal agents ever had to go under oath in front of jury questioned by a real lawyers about what they did they would get absolutely destroyed. They are only getting away with this because the govt won’t allow that.
It is beyond my understanding how a large percentage of evangelical Christians support Trump and the MAGA movement. It reminds me how Jesus's harshest criticism was directed at the religious leaders of his day who thought they were doing God's work.
Jesus laying down his life out of love for the world rather than using cosmic and political power to force the world to obey him will forever be the greatest critique of any Christian movement that seeks to secure power in order to ensure that the world conforms to their will.
Just the ever so competent Secretary of Defense doing his thing: "The information Hegseth shared included the precise times that fighter pilots would attack their targets.... If Houthi militants had learned those details in advance, they might have been able to shoot down American planes...."
Breaking: Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth could have put U.S. troops and national security at risk with the Signal chat, the Pentagon’s top watchdog concludes. The Atlantic’s staff writers report:
Nope, nothing fishy here: "Meanwhile, the administration has refused to provide Congress with Hegseth’s written “execute” order to engage the boat with lethal force, nor the videotape ... despite repeated bipartisan requests from leaders of the Senate and House Armed Services Committees."
"On Sep. 3, 2025, Pete Hegseth appeared on Fox News to boast about the U.S. military’s attack the day before on a speedboat in the Caribbean. Hegseth showed Defense Department video of the attack: 'I watched it live'...But the video Hegseth released was truncated." www.thebulwark.com/p/lies-cover...
