So, nothing's changed, and he has no idea.

WSJ: "How far along are you on a possible attack on Iran?" Trump: "You really think I'd tell you that? Can anybody from the Wall Street Journal ask a question so stupid…If I'm going to do it, and there's a possibility I will. There's also a possibility we will have an agreement."

So witkoff/kushner toadie sell out negotiations involves cutting Russian companies in on US energy deals? Are we giving Alaska back to Russia?

Eric Lipton NYT@ericlipton.nytimes.com

He's such an idiot. If he had just limited it to the economic campaign, and started it long ago, it might've worked. But he needs the sugar high ...

The corruption is just staggering. Dozens of dozens of pardons being given out to wealthy criminals paying millions for them. The US government is for sale to the highest bidders & DOJ operates as Trump’s consigliere. Have you had enough of this yet America? I know the world has.

I'm not a fan of El-Sayed. But the alternative is way worse.

Tom Joscelyn@tomjoscelyn.bsky.social

The right’s smear campaign against Abdul El-Sayed is nothing new. The right ran the same playbook against Huma Abedin, falsely accusing the Hillary Clinton confidante of being a secret Muslim Brotherhood plant during the Obama years. Back then, some Rs stood up for her. Not now. It’s all smears.

Before he was appointed, Kash Patel was flagged by FBI counterintelligence agents as being deeply enmeshed in influence operations run by the Russians and Chinese. After he took over, Patel began systematically eliminating all Russian and Chinese counterintelligence capacity. What to make of that?

It is a false binary choice. Iran was not getting nukes. Our intelligence confirmed that.

David S. Bernstein @dbernstein.bsky.social

This is being passed around as a total misrepresentation of what he said. Trump was saying - as he often does - that costs for Americans are a small price to pay for preventing Iran from getting nuclear missiles. He was saying ‘let them take out LA or SD’ as an example of what could happen then…

The funniest thing about this is every Special Forces operator of the last generation — the exact kind of “warfighter” Hegseth purports to idolize — has the world’s most massive beard. That’s entirely the look of today’s supersoldiers.

Damn right!

Should Dems win control of the House (and possibly the Senate) in November, they have to doggedly investigate Stephen Miller. They should hold hearings on him each week. See this report on Miller’s role in the Office of Remigration - a white nationalist project.

💯% true. Having healthy people pay in to plans, is exactly how those plans can pay the claims from sick people.

Please know that this is one of my few legitimate areas of actual, high-level professional expertise: Kicking the healthiest people off of a health insurance program will bankrupt it. Not 'could;' not 'might,' not 'probably," but absolutely will, with mathematical certainty.

President Trump pushed back against a Republican critic, calling Rep. María Elvira Salazar (R-Florida) weak on border security. “She obviously doesn’t have a very strong feeling for the border, but I do,” he said.

As you can tell from this short thread, Korte is a pro, and some national MSM outlet ought to pick her up and get her back in print, pronto. You'd get a lot of great stories, and you'd drive Hegseth bananas.
