New strain - it tastes like Froot Loops 🍇🍋🍒🍊

Digging out food 😋

What the actual fuck?

There are two stacks of pillows on the bed - I have lost custody of both 🐱

Techmoan revists two new Japanese high-speed train simulators - Densha De Go! console vs Switch edition.

You guys 😸

Don't let it thaw out.

God damnit you people - I was happy and content being snowed in for a week until you started in with the dessert talk in your posts and now I want doughnuts. Bastards. 🍩🥺

This makes me so happy every time I watch it. 🐘

Today was a clean out the pantry and freezer day for dinner - you wouldn't expect Annie's mac and cheese to work with bake in the oven tempura shrimp, but you add just enough ancho chili to the sauce and it zings 🌶️🍤😋

Of course, there's a Canadian company producing decals, eh?

Sometimes I look for a piece of rolling stock for the humor value alone. I will add one to my roster someday.

Romantically, this same approach worked for Elizabeth Taylor several times.

Putting the temperamental IHC Hudson on the holiday track - if she runs without too much trouble, I can finish the ballast job and move on. With the flanges on these drivers, curved track has to be on point or she'll just hop over the inside rail and flop over like a tired dog.

The big toys are here to play in the snow 🌨️

Food science ftw 🤢

This new Addams Family reboot looks terrible.

Ports are closed. Cat on the gateway shoulda told ya.

They're filling up and shuttling out dump trucks worth of snow at the rate of about one every two minutes right now. Impressive feat of logistics going on.

What can brown do for you today? Oxide red, actually - but a very brown red indeed. 🟫

Snow caves in the Fat Albert Blue Spruce ❄️🎄

Dang - I can see asphalt 😁☃️

Sports Illustrated being gutted and shut down on a day when I was thinking how much I miss having a Radio Shack in the neighborhood shopping plaza... The greed that has killed off so many of the touchstones of my youth continues right to this very day. It's depressing.

Dude with a CAT loader and a massive soil bucket is clearing the street from curb to curb - gotta get the sewers free - it's going to be in the 40s and raining in a few days. 🥶

Before breakfast. After breakfast.

Running some empty gons on the holiday road with the new switcher

The dam has finally broken - the high loaders and dump trucks have arrived in my neighborhood to liberate us from the massive snow piles that are choking the streets.

Sir Sheds-A-Lot can barely keep his eyes open after a session with the catnip fluffy ball. 🐱

12:40 - zoomies have ceased. Quiet has been restored.

It's 12:20 and one cat has the zoomies... which means that the other cat is trying to stay out of his way, giving her different zoomies. Getting vague bouncing and skittering noises down the hall and in the other room - I'm already under the covers and am not getting up unless there's a crash.

Chili - cheese tacos... low effort, big rewards.

The Pooks - portrait of a fed up cat.

Baking some cocoa biscotti with cranberries and pistachios... 60 minutes for the first round - and then cool, slice and bake again. Wish I had some sambucca in the liquor cabinet to pair with them - alas, moka pot coffee will have to do.

Glory to Ukraine. Glory to the heroes. Rossyia pizdets.

I've made an executive decision - I'm done with this snow stuff. It's gotta stop, like, right now. There will be consequences if this doesn't come to pass.

Hug a track maintenance worker today 👍🤪

Ukraine, a country currently without a blue water navy, has managed to sink a fleet flagship, several heavy landing ships, a host of smaller vessels and a submarine. Russia responds by sending 60 year old decommissioned anti-ship missiles against land targets. Pretty weak sauce, Vova.

Hack All The Russian Things!

Joel Osteen closed his church during a crisis and he gets invited to be part of the Mar A Lago Mafia... This pastor opens his church to the needy and gets fined and charged for it. Woke Jesus would be sent to Guantanamo if he ever showed back up during a Republican administration, no doubt.

That's the grimmest thing I've read in the New Year - and that's saying something.

Random Act of Kindness Report Neighbor with LORGE snowthrower just took a few swipes at my driveway and it opened up a bunch of space - so there are still decent people who will do you a solid just out of nowhere. /end_report

Let's Remember Some Defunct Regional Department Stores AM&A's Adam, Meldrum and Anderson

Last day of the most intense snow... it's still falling right now and the weather service estimates that we've received about 76 inches of total accumulation 🥶.
