I recently opened my first patches for Firefox! :) Hoping to get these merged: bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi... bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi... This should make Firefox on Wayland tiling WMs behave better, especially with pop-out windows created by extensions and PiP. #firefox #wayland

Sooo apparently the reason why Firefox doesn't open extension windows as floating windows in some wayland WMs like Hyprland and sway is because when Firefox creates dialog windows, it doesn't set the parent. Which is kinda like a hint for compositor to make a window float. #firefox #wayland #linux
