Anaya's goofy grin and teeny weeny eyebrows are 100% adoptable. She's a 9-month-old pup who would do great in a home with other pets, and is looking for a family to explore the world with. She's got lots of puppy love to go around, and if you're reading this, she wants to give it to YOU!

Big boy Chuck came to us as a stray with half an ear left and the cutest round face ever. Living on the streets of Yakima was tough on him, but Chuck has started choosing his favorite people and showing us the undercover cuddle bug beneath his fuzzy exterior. Just look at that face. Perfect.

Congratulations to our most handsome boy, Max, on finding his forever home! This special guy captured all of our hearts during his time being rehabilitated here. We are thrilled for him and his loving new family. 💚

Best. Update. Ever. This is former Pasado's kitty, Sisco, celebrating his 3rd birthday with a trip to Europe! These photos are amazing, and we cannot stop thinking about the Ratatouille outfit. Talk about dream adopters!💚

We set a new record today! 45 pets vaccinated in just 4 hours at our low-cost clinic in Spanaway 🎉 That's a new patient *every 5 minutes* with no breaks. Shoutout to our unstoppable Pet Services team for this huge achievement, and to everyone who supports our work to keep animals healthy and safe.

GOOD NEWS: Seattle just banned landlords from charging ongoing pet rent, arbitrary non-refundable pet fees, and other junk fees! Thank you Mayor Katie Wilson and Councilmember Foster for proposing this vital ordinance. This is a huge win that helps animals and families in our city! 💚

⚠️ A cat has been found murdered in Seattle's University District. Pasado's is offering a $5,000 reward for tips leading to the arrest and prosecution of the person(s) responsible. Anyone who recognizes this person should call 206-386-7387 with info. Reference case 960-0346. All tips are anonymous.

Washington is in a crisis. Our shelters and rescues are overwhelmed with cats because affordable spay/neuter is so limited. The feral population continues to rise. The cost of care is unattainable. This problem has been hurting our community for too long. We NEED more spay/neuter. We NEED change.

Max says thank you for all the love after hearing his story. Being dumped in a cemetery is a morbid way to lose your family, but this very cute shepherd is full of hope and life. We've been loving his big, soft ears and how much he enjoys giving sniffs with his wonky little nose.

⚠️ Reminder: HEATSTROKE IS AN EMERGENCY! ⚠️ Watch for: 🐶 Endless frantic panting 🐱 Open-mouth breathing 🐮 Heavy, rapid chest pumping If you see these signs, DO NOT WAIT. Call an emergency vet immediately. Move them to shade and start cooling them with fans and cool (not iced) water.

Rescue isn't complete without rehabilitation. Please enjoy these photos of Kevin, a miracle survivor of neglect, frolicking in one of our fields after months of regaining weight and learning to trust again. We love you, Kev! Hopefully your forever home comes soon 🌻

Next week. Charlie vs. Victor, and Deb vs. Monty. Who will win Pasado's 'FUR'LD CUP? ⚽ Your votes decide who wins. Keep an eye on the leaderboard in our bio and vote vote vote to help your #1 take home the championship! 🏆

Announcing... ⚽🏆 THE ‘FUR'LD CUP! 🏆⚽ A tournament where soccer actually protects animals instead of putting them in harm's way. $1 = 1 vote for your favorite player to compete in the finals. Every vote supports our mission to end animal cruelty. Who are you rooting for?!

Wildlife is abundant at the sanctuary, and this family of deer has been living in the area for years. Between our residents, the deer, the bears, and the occasional cougar, we're always in awe of the beautiful creatures who call Pasado's home.

Russell is living his best life while waiting for his forever home. He’s got a heart as big as the mountains, and after recovering from neglect, his adventurous spirit is back in full swing. If you’re in Washington, and love cuddly dogs and the great outdoors, Russell could be your new best friend.

Trans Day of Sanctuary was such a beautiful day. During these increasingly hostile times for the trans community, Pasado’s remains committed to being an inclusive, welcoming place for all. You are safe and valued here, always.

Drum roll please... The numbers are in, and for GiveBIG, our incredible community came together to raise over $50,000 for the animals! 🎉🐾 THANK YOU for showing up for GiveBIG this year! We can't do this work without you.

We just welcomed 22 cats rescued from a high road-traffic dumping ground in Yakima. They’re safe with us now, but their journey to healing has just begun. This is Tilt - one of our new residents. Help us say "yes" to the next rescue and make a donation today: https://bit.ly/GIVEBIG26 #GiveBIG2026

It’s #GiveBIG day! Every donation to Pasado's today makes a BIG difference for survivors of animal cruelty, and supports all our work for the animals. Ready to make some real change? Let’s do this ✊💚

We're waiving adoption fees in honor of National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day, starting tomorrow! All cats and dogs who go home before Monday the 4th will have their costs covered. That's spay/neuter, vaccines, microchips, and all their previous care costs completely free when you adopt this weekend.

We asked our team to write down how they feel when they think about volunteers. What are some words you would use to describe people who dedicate their time to animals in need? #volunteerappreciationweek

Today marks the anniversary of Pasado the donkey's death. We commemorate this day to honor Pasado, whose story has opened hearts, changed minds, and helped ignite change to protect animals from the cruelty he suffered. #endanimalcruelty

WOW. THANK YOU for restocking our Pet Food Bank supply! We went from three empty bins to bags scraping the ceiling of our donation shed. This is what community looks like. We're grateful to have all of you here, and to be able to look out for one another (and our pets) when times are hard. 💚

Pumpkin and Mako had never left the property they were rescued from, and now they're experiencing the joys of life for the first time. It's nothing but fresh air, room to run, and endless love from now on. 💚

Our new pups are very eager to show us their cuddly sides 💚 Many of the things we take for granted are still brand new to them, but they've been adjusting wonderfully. We're looking for adopters to show them the joys of life with patience and love. If that sounds like you, let us know!

We have brought four new dogs into our care. Angel, Hattie, Pumpkin, and Mako came from a heartbreaking hoarding situation, sadly involving both adult and child protective services. We're grateful that they're safe and that their first-ever car ride was with us, toward a brighter future.
