So someone post one of their little deck press things the other day and immediately bought one and I'm lowkey so excited to put my decks in the spa.

If you have a large card collection, do you store things with sleeves? If so why/why not? I've kept everything in inner sleeves for so long because I use them so much but I'm starting to think that's too unhinged for thousands of cards 😅😅😅 Also what's your storage method!

Honestly blows my mind every time I'm reminded that Marshall Sutcliffe also goes crazy style restoring watches on youtube. If there was a career I'm looking to emulate moving as I move forward with my life Marshall is not a bad bar to aim for 😅

my worst habit is my inability to do work at times when it would be easy to do work I only work at the least convenient time where I'm already tired instead of seizing any of the day that has just passed to accomplish things xD

We've been grinding and that work is finally going to show itself. Safe to say this is not the first video J Ro will have had a hand in 😅

I might not be great at it, but tooting my own horn here: THIS IS THE FIRST EPISODE I WROTE! WOOT! Check it out and let me know how I did! And make sure to follow @pastrytime.bsky.social! www.youtube.com/watch?v=kMfL...

Finally feel like my head is above water after a wild three weeks of work/life/youtube, hoping to use the next few weeks to get ahead of my last quarter plans for the channel and start planning for 2027! New video out tomorrow 😅

Had some really unhinged Commander thoughts yesterday and now I'm torn between continuing to iterate on the Wingspan themed bird deck or just figure out what shell to use Sibsig Ceremony, Bridge from Below and Magus of the Bridge in 😅

Help me I am working on four different Commander decks now after only having two to start the year and trying to be more intentional with the format in general 😅

We're back with a very exciting upload, the first in a FOUR part series going over the Top 8 at the 2006 World Championship and the incredible events and games that unfolded. Starting in the place where it all began: Makahito Mihara's Infamous Miscalulation. Video out now!

Reality Fracture honestly has me excited about deckbuilding again, just so many sweet cards. Also every EDH deck I start cooking on becomes extremely unhinged very quickly xD

I think one of the true things I dislike about all the work I do is that I can't really listen to music while doing any of it. Maybe I'm just too easily distracted but I can't even write with music on really.

Today's video is technically a spoiler for #MTGxRealityFracture but it's also about a great player who's deck's genuinely changed how we think about Magic today. It's also a case for Foreshadow being a good Magic card, which feels like a very unhinged sentence. #mtgpartner

I feel like everytime I think to myself "Oh that would be good but I can't do that" in regards to YouTube stuff the thing inevitably gets done and I'm like "oh, maybe I was wrong"

It's now just before midnight, I'm still getting to my hotel and I've gotta commentate in a city I've never been to before in about ten hours. I love card games 🥹

I'm afraid of using my power on the larger, more stinky site so if anyone here knows an editor that is interested in editing a video for Hungry On Plane on a pretty tight timeline let me know. You will ofc be compensated! Thank you MTG friends your recommendations are as always very welcome.

Okay so I think I might be covered here but that being said this also produced a ton of great recs so I'll be reaching out to most/all of you to see about any future work that might pop up as there's always cooking happening on the channel these days.

Hitting Scryfall random and telling you about the competitive history of a Magic card. Tonight's random selection: Basilisk Collar! This card is pretty famous at Commander tables and saw/sees some Modern/Legacy play but it's probably best known at the Pro Tour for LSVs ridiculous streak.

While LSV would actually 17-0 with his Naya deck he'd be stopped in the semis by eventual winner Simon Görtzen on Jund of course (2010 was a helluva time for Broodmate Dragon). Now players in the current PT get byes automatically once they lock Top 8 so this run is probably not doable anymore.

At least not in the same way, in an era where LSV felt pretty much unstoppable at any table he sat down to play at. Hope you enjoyed this fun little dive into history, I got VERY lucky with the random card selection today 😅

LSV at PT San Diego 2010 did something no one had ever done: won every single Swiss round en route to top eight. 16-0 playing Boss Naya which was powered by the goofy looking combo of Cunning Sparkmage + Basilisk Collar. A recurring machine gun that made creature mirrors basically unplayable.

For the full-time content creators that see this, especially in the Magic space: How did you decide that you were full-time? What prompted the shift? What metrics (or maybe just vibes) did you use to make that decision?
