States are asking for a 2-year delay, to improve admin systems and prepare before facing substantial new costs. The Senate Ag. Committee passed a Farm Bill proposal with only a one-year delay + higher future costs for states. Temporary relief should not come at the expense of SNAP’s future. (2/3)

Despite surging profits, revenue from the corporate income tax, which applies to the profits made by the largest companies in the country, fell roughly 15% in the last fiscal year, following the Republican-backed tax breaks for big corporations: www.nytimes.com/2026/10/17/b...

Rep. Scott Perry earned a 0% score on the PA Alliance for Retired Americans’ most recent Congressional Voting Record for his votes to cut Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security funding, & food assistance, and to weaken Medicare’s ability to negotiate lower prescription drug prices.

Rep. Perry's vote for the “One Big Beautiful Bill” threatens food assistance for 6.5M seniors as well as nursing home & home-based care for 5.6M seniors in the US We joined PARA earlier today to present Rep. Perry with the Alliance’s “Retiree Zero Award” for this dismal record!

Having to go without your medication because the price is too high can really take a toll on your body, something Geri from Central PA knows all too well. And that’s something more and more people are facing as health care prices – and the prices of so many daily essentials – continue to rise.

And when lawmakers cut funding and add barriers to programs that are meant to help people, it not only impacts people’s ability to access them, but also erodes their faith in those programs. We’re in an affordability crisis, the “Big Beautiful Bill” is only making things worse!

Rep. Scott Perry voted YES to slash funding for essential, lifesaving programs and NO to extending tax credits that reduced the cost of Pennie insurance plans. Tell Rep. Perry: reverse the damage caused by your votes and make health coverage more affordable:

Anne lives in Jefferson Borough, PA, and she is sick of it! Republicans in Congress have slashed healthcare funding, driving up costs for nearly everyone. And it’s not popular! It’s time for the Republicans in Congress to fix the damage caused by their votes.

The state Senate has only a few session days left this year where they can take action and pass the bill to raise our minimum wage to at least $15/hr! Tell your state senator: make a difference this year by raising PA’s minimum wage to help workers, support families, & strengthen local economies.

actionnetwork.orgTell your PA State Senator: Take action this session! Bring the bipartisan minimum wage bill from the House up for a vote, and say YES!We're facing an affordability crisis. The cost of living is skyrocketing, and nearly everyone is feeling it. And yet, Pennsylvania's minimum wage has been stuck at $7.25/hour since 2009 due to the sta...

Thousands dropping Pennie coverage is a real hit to families in Bucks and Montco. Folks need to know who voted for this.

Rep. Scott Perry voted YES twice on H.R. 1, enacting devastating Medicaid changes. Then, he voted NO on legislation that would have extended ACA tax credits – which make Pennie plans more affordable – through 2028. (1/2)

actionnetwork.orgRep. Scott Perry voted FOR cutting health care and AGAINST extending the ACA tax credits that lowered insurance costs. Tell him: We need you to change course and deliver on affordable health care for your constituents.Rep. Scott Perry voted YES twice on H.R. 1 — including the final bill that enacted major Medicaid changes. Then, after the enhanced premium tax credits expired, Perry voted NO on H.R. 1834, legislation that would have extended the enhanced premium tax credits through 2028. Now, the Commonwealth estimates that 18,720 people in PA-10 could lose Medicaid coverage as the federal law is implemented. PA-10 families are already feeling the health care affordability squeeze. At the start of 2026 Open Enrollment, 28,634 PA-10 residents had Pennie coverage. By March 24, 7,452 had terminated coverage — 26% of the district’s starting enrollment, compared with 25% statewide. Families buying coverage through Pennie are paying more, too. According to Pennie data, average monthly premium costs per enrollee increased by: - $225 in Cumberland County - $207 in Dauphin County - $228 in York County And PHAN estimates hospitals serving PA-10 could face approximately $44 million more in uncompensated care each year. Tell Rep. Perry: PA-10 families are already paying the price. Help reverse the Medicaid cuts and make health coverage more affordable.

Now, 18.7k people in his district could lose Medicaid coverage. Families buying coverage through Pennie are seeing rates skyrocket. And PHAN estimates local hospitals could face approximately $44 million more in uncompensated care each year.

Thank you to all who spoke out, including Lt. Gov. Austin Davis, Scranton Mayor Paige Cognetti, Northampton County Exec Tara Zrinski, nursing home workers from SEIU Healthcare PA, caregivers, parents, patients, and advocates with Action Together NEPA and Pennsylvania Alliance for Retired Americans!

Rep. Bresnahan voted to gut essential, lifesaving programs – in order to pay for tax giveaways for big corporations and billionaires. Now, 21.6k people in his district could lose Medicaid coverage, while local hospitals face growing financial pressure. (1/2)

actionnetwork.orgNortheastern PA: Rep. Bresnahan Promised to Protect Medicaid. Then He Voted for H.R. 1 Twice. Before Congress took up H.R. 1, Rep. Rob Bresnahan said he would not vote for legislation that “guts the benefits my neighbors rely on.” Then he voted YES on H.R. 1 twice — including the final legislation that enacted sweeping changes to Medicaid. Now the Commonwealth estimates 21,637 people in PA-08 could lose Medicaid coverage as the law is implemented, while local hospitals face growing financial pressure. Families buying coverage through Pennie are already paying more, too. According to Pennie data, average monthly premium costs per enrollee increased by: → $122 in Lackawanna County → $116 in Luzerne County → $284 in Monroe County → $201 in Pike County → $81 in Wayne County Bresnahan said the benefits his neighbors rely on were promises that should be kept. PA-08 residents can ask him to keep that commitment: protect Medicaid coverage, help make Pennie coverage affordable, and protect the hospitals Northeastern Pennsylvania depends on. Tell Rep. Bresnahan: PA-08 families are already paying the price. Help fix the damage and deliver affordable health care.

After Scranton, the bus headed to Bethlehem! County Exec Tara Zrinski kicked us off, and patients, health care workers, & advocates shared stories of how the “Big Beautiful Bill” has negatively impacted their health, those they care for, and their work. (2/3)

Across PA and the nation, families are fed up w/ the growing health care crisis & rising costs after Republicans like Reps. Bresnahan and Mackenzie slashed more than $1 trillion from Medicaid and ended ACA tax credits in order to fund tax giveaways for billionaires & big corporations!

Republicans in Congress took a wrecking ball to our health care, and we’re paying the price with skyrocketing premiums, lost coverage, & impossible choices. Protect Our Care's "Sick of It!" bus tour is rolling into Harrisburg, Scranton, and Bethlehem to demand action!

Mary and her husband live in Bucks County, and they hoped to be retired, but he just had to take on a part time job - and it’s still getting harder and harder to make ends meet. Health insurance premiums are doubling, and other costs keep going up too! (1/3)

Rep. Fitzpatrick may have voted “no” on the final HR1 – which made devastating cuts & changes to Medicaid and the ACA – but he was the one vote that helped the original bill pass. He serves as co-chair of the Problem Solvers Caucus and a member of the House Ways and Means Health Subcommittee. (2/3)

Prices are too high, wages are too low, health care costs are skyrocketing, and Americans are getting squeezed from every angle. Last week, we joined Mondays Without McCormick in Scranton, PA to put the pressure on Sen. McCormick and Rep. Bresnahan to take action on the #AffordabilityCrisis!

"We’re putting campaign promises next to voting records, and those votes next to what families are experiencing across Pennsylvania. Pennsylvanians can see the record for themselves," said Felicity Williams, Executive Director of Pennsylvanians Together In Action. #ThePriceIsHigh
