Love all these Photoshop posts on LinkedIn around the AI cloned app. From the tone of the posts you would have imagined no one in the past 20 years has built alternative photo editing applications. But thank god someone had AI clone it in a weekend. Which is about all thats interesting about it.

Dear Anthropic, Stop telling me you're going to send a security code to my email. You don't; you send a secure link, but your website shows a form field for a key and related instructions. It creates a confusing experience. Which one is it?

I see that the Republicans are finally living out their fantasy of destroying the civil rights non-profit, the Southern Poverty Law Center. It certainly is uncomfortable being reminded how many of your members belong to or support hate groups.

I am struggling to put into words the anger and frustration I feel over the Supreme Court's recent decision on Conversion Therapy. I spent so many years of my childhood scared of something just like this. The hypocrisy of this medical professional pretending she is putting her patients first.

There are a lot of things I like about what the Kadance theme offers website builders and owners. But the templates are such a let down. Not because of their design, but because they fail to take advantage of most of the tools and options that make building in the block editor easy.

Today is National Coming Out Day. A day meant to shine a light on the fact that bigotry and homophobia thrive in silence. It makes it all the more frustrating that it seems the Supreme Court is close to reinstating conversion therapy for LGBTQ+ kids.

An argument built on ignoring the consensus of every major medical group and decades of lived experience. Talk therapy isn't harmless when the person using it is reinforcing a religious and cultural message that you can't and won't find acceptance or happiness. Nor will it ever stop at talk therapy.

The killing of Charlie Kirk is deplorable, as were his beliefs. He was an open racist and bigot who used his platform to dehumanize others. While he shouldn't have been killed for his views, I won't ignore that his beliefs empower violence against others.

When a hosting company like SiteGround sends you a "Monthly security report" email, that is nothing but an Ad meant to upsell you on their expensive add-ons, it's safe to say they don't have your best interest in mind. They care more about selling you on services by exploiting fear and confusion.

So many wonderful years not having to think about Kim Davis. Now she's back in the news for all the same horrible reasons. It's taken 10 years for right-wing Christian hate groups to get to this moment. The first shot may stand no chance, but they will keep taking shots till they are successful.

I would love to see WordPress bring the menu back out of the editor so website users can update and edit the menu independently of working in the full site editor. This would go some way to making sure that content can be edited separately from the site structure.

Today is the 10th anniversary of Obergefell and the legalization of same-sex marriage. The threat to this right is more real than ever. But for this moment I want to sit in the knowledge that there are queer kids who have spent their entire life knowing only a future where they can get married.

You don't need to use JS to make a masonry gallery layout. There really is no good reason. Now I'm dealing wit a Kadance gallery block that's broken in the editor becasue it's constancy recalculating image positions.

It's sad to say but I think Restrict Content Pro and WPComplete are two plugs that are no longer being developed. Neither are listed on StellarWP's product list (The one mention of Restrict redirect to their other membership plugin).

It would be nice to hope that the recent violence and killings were the peak, but it seems like its only the beginning. The president has wanted to to use violent force against protests since his first term, and now he has someone who will ok it. It seems like it's only a matter of time.

How is it going? Two Democratic lawmakers were shot in an assassination attempt, and the president of the US is throwing himself a military parade, the military being used, in the administration's words, "to liberate California" over peaceful protests it helped provoke.

I was excited about section styles in the block editor. But ultimately disappointed that the resulting styles are set on a per block unique class rather then the block level class. It can create so much duplicate inline css.

How many times does it have to be said. Anti-trans legislation have never been about the kids or about trans or gender non conforming people. It sure as hell was never about the "science". It's a belief that trans, queer, and LGBTQ folks don't deserve a place in public life & rolling back progress.

Adding to my WordPress full site editing wishes/ideas. I wish it was possible to define a class for a pattern in the patterns settings header comment block, that would automatically be applied and held, maybe with the ability to prevent its removal in the editor.

I've decided to go all in on full site editing for client projects and just wanted to document my annoyances. No easy way to add adjacent pagination to a nav block & add aria-label. Why are skip links added via JS and their is no documented way to add additional skip links?

Just a quick thought. Could we have an approach to cookie consent control that isn't so intrusive? The ability for users to change their consent at any time is important. It doesn't need to be a constant floating button!
