I love the CBC and seeing Andrew try to dumb down something I'm familiar with is just a delight! "Ahhh PHP. Where the first P stands for....PHP" youtu.be/WiEXPHYA6xM
I suspected as such, but it boils down to how managing these kinds of partnerships takes time and resources and this wasn't sustainable for Paizo. Perfectly reasonable.
Paizo is ending their partnership with Archives of Nethys, one of the biggest SRD resource for their games. This one makes little sense to me but I don't know the full story obviously. #ttrpg #pathfinder #pf2e www.archivesofnethys.com/agreement.html

Doing an SPA for your secret society might not have been a good idea.
SCOOP: So remember Dialog, Peter Thiel's private society that doesn't have a public website and no public list of members? I (along with a number of other journalists) have just been tipped off that embedded in the code of their closed off website there IS what seems to be a list of some members.
Incredibly sad for the people impacted by this. Reading about the consignment business model from the Bricks and Minifig story and how Paizo (and many others) essentially were robbed of millions of dollars of product in a C7 bankruptcy makes you wonder if this model needs to die.
OSS is a miracle and a curse. Imagine telling your C-suite you want to use a piece of code written by someone outside the company, hosted and managed outside the company and you have no control over their own security hygiene but your business is gonna be built on that piece of code...

Turns out I won’t run Arden Vul. Talking with the players it doesn’t sound appropriate yet for our 2 hours (often more like 1.5 hours) weekly sessions and the idea of a TPK cancelling months of play just didn’t appeal to us. We’re going with a different direction: Abomination Vaults with PF2E re 1/3

Hey CBC, you can try to hide Thirsty Sword Lesbians with a Monster Manual, but I have advantage on Perception checks to notice TTRPGs. #ttrpg #dnd www.cbc.ca/player/play/...

Oops, I started a new project: Skyreader, an RSS reader on the AT Protocol. Share cool articles like it's 2010 and Google Reader would never die. skyreader.app www.disnetdev.com/blog/2026-01...
[Mr Nadella] noted that a “telltale sign of if it’s a bubble” would be if only tech groups were benefiting from the rise of AI, rather than companies in other sectors. Imagine telling someone standing outside soaking wet that a telltale sign of rain would be if water was falling from the sky...

I just backed DURF Expanded project on Kickstarter and I hope people check it out. I’m not super familiar with DURF but I know it’s a darling of the OSR community. I’m also a sucker for cool hardcovers. www.kickstarter.com/projects/emi...
