Until Nov 2015 I was a staunch Republican who hated Obama’s policies and eagerly awaited the election of a good person but we got Trump. I’ve been a conservative without a party ever since. I just saw a clip of Obama talking about the government in a way the Republicans used to. What a change.

On my 2nd day in DC, I finally saw a few National Guardsmen. Here are 3 of them visiting the Lincoln Memorial and posing for pictures for tourists. Glad to see my taxpayer dollars hard at work.

Every time I see someone post a snapshot from X, I look at it and my stress level shoots up like it did when I was on X. Stress is the whole reason I left X.

I thought a lot about Zuck’s change to FB. I left X because it got so bad with hate and misinformation. I still use FB/IG to maintain ties with remote friends and family. Also, I don’t buy into cancel culture/boycotts. So I will give it some time. If it gets really bad, then I might leave.
