O.K., what is this 💩 with people rushing up the aisle from the back of the plane before the door is even open. You're not more important than everyone sitting in front of you. Sit TF back down and wait your turn.

TIL the guy who created the erector set also created and sold a *glass blowing kit* for kids. And I thought Lawn Darts were peak dangerous toys.

I don't know what teachers they're talking to, but I'm a yes on prop.40 (California). When the no on 40 ads are funded by the billionaires the tax would affect, I'm pretty sure the ads are scare tactics.

F*ck Zuck! He’s worried about Prop. 40 passing, so he had the board restructure Meta stock to pay his bill. The p rick is worth $247b, so he’d owe $12.5b. How in the world will he get by with the $232b left over? A-🕳️

Multiple reports of Democratic votes in Tennessee being flipped to Republican by the voting machines. Check your ballot carefully before you submit it. This is why the administration wants to do away with mail-in ballots: no way to program them to change your vote.

It's disturbing how often I have to yell "put down your damn phone" at the car ahead of me at a stop light when the light turns green. Either that or an excessively long use of my car horn.

We don’t need an espresso machine at home to make lattes. My wife grinds beans down to a sub-atomic level before the pour-over 😁

One of my colleagues was shocked to learn my age today. She thought I was at least 10 years younger. I credit it to truly enjoying what I do for a living for the last 40 years.

It's so much fun to get email from a student saying they won't be in class because they have work to finish for another class. So life-affirming...🤬

It sure would be great, after the awful season they've had, if the Giants could figure out how to beat the Dodgers for Kruk's final game.

The New York Times is reporting that OpenAI meddled in some U.S. government systems after going rogue. How do we teach it to release the unredacted Epstein files? For once, an AI could prove to be useful.

Just got back from "Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom." In a word: terrific! Crisply paced, very funny, tons of great sight gags, and many callouts to classic thrillers . Maybe the best entry yet in the Shaun filmography. Go see it!

I started working in Blender a few weeks ago, going through tutorials and learning the tools. Today in class, a student asked me a Blender-specific question and I was able to answer it! I guess the information is sinking in after all!
