Oregon Cascades: The Three Sisters (North & Middle) as viewed from the Dee Wright Observatory on the McKenzie Pass. The Dee Wright Observatory constructed in the 1930's out of lava rocks found at the site. Each window points to a Cascade mountain.

Mt. Washington, Oregon Cascades. Lava flow from 2,000-2,500 years ago in the foreground, and burned trees from Santiam Pass fire in 2003 are throughout. There is normally some snow on the mountain, but this has been an abnormally dry year. 9/18/26
