There will be continued delays for those driving and using transit. During work hours, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., the traveling public is advised to expect delays, travel cautiously, observe all closures, traffic control devices and directions by flaggers, and use alternate routes if possible.

Contractors working with PBOT will install new inlets and piping on N Greeley Ave between N Interstate and N Going which requires excavation work within the multi-use path. A signed detour route will be in place for the closure that directs people biking to North Interstate Ave. and Willamette Blvd.

We'll talk visibility, explore bikeways in East Portland, and hear directly from the Vision Zero team on efforts to increase safety for bicyclists in the area. All participants will also get some free swag and be entered into a raffle to win an additional prize!

What does a street name/business district, a catchy slogan, a local basketball legend, a pop song, and a Tennessee Williams play all have in common? Well, they've all inspired our five new snowplow names and were each assigned their very own snowplow this week.

We're getting ready for winter weather and we want to encourage Portlanders to get ready too. Now is a great time to refresh your supplies in your emergency kit. Dig out your tire chains and practice putting them on. Make sure you have a shovel and some ice melt to clear your sidewalks.
