My heart is heavy. Walter Koenig, our Ensign Pavel Chekov, passed away early today.
Walter and I met on the bridge of the Enterprise in the 1960s, and we stayed friends for nearly six decades. When Brad and I married in 2008, Walter stood beside us as our best man.
August of last year I put in a request to the city of Chicago regarding a tree that whose branches were rubbing against our gutter. Today they finally came and trimmed it. 14 months later. I'm so happy I'm giddy.
Hate Annual #1 (2000) has a full page ad on the back for suck.com, and there are long form text pieces by Bagge in the issue that are reprints of material he wrote for the website. I hit that site daily in the 90s, where I first read @anamariecox.com. The domain name is now for sale. RIP suck.com

Saw John Scofield last night with Larry Goldings, Alan Deitch of Lettuce and Oteil Burbeidge You could tell Oteil was very happy to be playing in a jazz context. It was great to see.
