Why on earth would I want to go to ESPN 2 to see the Pat McAfee Show during my Niner game on MNF? Really, why would I ever want to watch that loser?

We also have a very high percentage of female residents that have had a recent bad travel experience in Iceland.

Portland has the most elder millennials per capita of any US city. genuinely wild to show that much disrespect for the electorate at large www.oregonlive.com/data/2025/07...

Crazy! Just saw this ad for Oregon data centers, claiming they basically pay to solve all of society’s ills and provide thousands of permanent jobs. It was so over the top in praise of them. Which tells me they’re really scared of the backlash.

Hmmm… all I own shoe wise is a dozen pair of colored Converse. It’s gonna take me a bit to convert them all to Vans. Please be patient with me.

I didn’t know Taco Bell was Mexican food.

Nonofyur Darnbusiness@ladyasrai.bsky.social

Ppl focusing on Taco Bell and not their supplier (who sends lettuce to thousands of grocery stores) is because of racist attitudes surrounding Mexican food. I said what I said.

I double checked, and I am indeed free of Nazi tattoos. Therefore, I’m available to be recruited for the Senator from Maine opening. I will, of course, be doing all my campaigning from my home in Oregon.

Love Timothy Snyder. But he should stay away from movie reviews. His scathing review of Supergirl was just.. not reflective of the movie. He seemed to be looking for specific narrative arcs and not paying attention to the psychology behind how the characters acted. It was a good movie. Not perfect.

Just saw Disclosure Day. I’m pretty sure it’s the worst movie I’ve ever seen. I was so bored, I’d have walked out with an hour left if I wasn’t there with other people.

Watching a local bossa nova group. The keyboardist is pretty, but what I really notice is how much she looks like Alice Cooper. I would never tell her that. I find it weird enough observing it

I saw this miniseries as a child, read the book at 13. Literally changed the trajectory of this white boy’s life. Which is probably why they’re banning it.

While there is truth here, it’s also often true that the naps are necessary because nighttime sleep declines. I’d give anything for an 8 hour night once in awhile

I’ve been listening to Songs in the Key of Life lately. And now I’m not so sure about surrendering to that elevated death. It’s growing on me.

Talking Book is better than Songs in the Key of Life. And I’ll die on that hill.

I’d mentioned from the moment I heard about the César Chávez abuse, I thought Portland would look to rename his street. Here’s a note from the Portland Drizzle newsletter that talks about what’s involved. Sorry - have to click on acreenshort for full details. @portland-drizzle.bsky.social

Oregon tried this a few years back. Nobody respected it. It received some of the most complaints of any law in recent years, and was reversed relatively soon after. It was a complete failure.

Tang the Conqueror might be my fav name for him yet.

Ragnarok Lobster@eclecticbrotha1.bsky.social

Tang the Conqueror is a geopolitical dumbass who doesn't realize trade through the Strait of Hormuz greatly effects US agriculture and commerce whether we are personally piloting ships through it or not.

My email: We think you’d like to watch Melania, now on Prime. Yeah, because the algorithm could just tell since I watched Fallout that I enjoy stories about ghouls.

As a teen, I used to roller skate every Sunday night. Tanya Hardlng’s mom would drop her off, but never pick her up (she was at a bar). So we gave Tanya rides home. She was very shy and didn’t talk much.

Tell me a random fact about yourself that sounds fake but is 100% true.

For various reasons, I don’t get too political here. (I DO follow a lot of politics). But I responded positively to someone’s comment about the genocide in Palestine, then someone jumped on and branded me a racist. It felt very weird. Probably go back and block them…. but sheesh!

I live in a small conservative Portland suburb. On the way to work last night, saw a lone woman protestor. I waved at her. Tonight, there were over 100.
