Just saw Laika's new film Wildwood, that was absolutely breathtaking. It's been such a joy to see the studio grow in their passion ever since I saw Coraline and I hope and dream to one day see my name in those credits. Seeing them show the animation process post credits actually made me tear up

Fairly annoyed that I think a power surge the other week might have messed up my resin printer. Ever since then the print bed won't lift after the first layer and I've tried everything to fix it. Only real option is to open it up and replace the motor and I'm not really looking forward to that

I'm calling this mostly done! Added some final details/ weathering and I'm fairly happy with the result. Still needs a brake wheel though If people want I'll upload the files on cults3d as a pay what you want! Any sales goes towards new 3d projects #pacificelectric #modeltrains #hoscale

Been tinkering with this 3d printable Pacific Electric Lake Arrowhead tank car. One of a few custom cars made to haul water from the lake down to the city. The flatcar is an Owl mountain kit while the tanks and everything else are designed by me with reference help from @beatlewolf.bsky.social

Big update, it's coming along Wish the decals went on a bit better but im still working on it, ill probably order a set to be printed next time instead of just using my inkjet. For the cost of roughly $45 it sure beats $400+ for the brass equivalent. The most expensive part is the flatcar kit

Once I get the model to a point I think is presentable I will make the files available on cults 3d. It may not be the most accurate model but what was most important was to have something that's structurally sound and the lack of more documentation didnt help

This is just a small collection of all the planes I built for one customer this year. They're not museum quality but seeing as I usually have about 4 days to complete two planes every 2 weeks they're okay haha. Almost always terrible resin kits #models #miniatures

Saw Everything Everything last night for their 'Get to heaven' anniversary tour! They're always so amazing live, was super stoked to finally hear this song live!! Blast doors is such a good time

searching for HO scale items on cults 3d is so annoying right now because there is a creator that goes by Miniature reality who im pretty sure is using AI and floods the search results and there is no way to eliminate them from search results over 1k models is suspect

This shit is genuinely pissing me off. Not only is stuff like Etsy impossible to use to find garage kits because of AI shit but now the 3d print file sites are getting close to that too. We need to fight this shit out of the model scene because its getting fucking bad

There are lots of flavors of autism and it can get very specific A very popular kind ive seen a lot (and am part of) are people who are REALLY really into knowing everything about historic tragedies. For a lot its Titanic for me its 9/11 probably because of unmonitored internet access as a kid

its not an interest in the "wow so cool and awesome" way, its deconstructing the event bit by bit to learn how it all happened. Its almost like a never ending puzzle because each year it seems new found footage is released. Its Morbid but it comes from a place of wanting to understand it all

There's something truly magical in how no matter what product a company makes the owner will go out of their way to be insane Oh you run a sticker printing company? fascism meat rider oh you make squishie plushie? Backs genocide Oh you make a lame wizard book? All of the above
