i'm pretty sure someone 5000 years ago was minding their own business and went like 'huh what's that' and it was just the (full) moon and they were like nevermind it's that bullshit again about time we destroyed that distracting dick.

they have this on tv at nights, and it isn't that relaxing tbh, they are growing so fast they are all twitching all the time like it's so incredibly restless sleep with their muscles getting ready to walk pretty soon. right now all they can do is depend on their sense of smell and crawl around

observing these feeds, helpless new-born dogs can clearly sense warmth, and smell the milk and crawl to that general direction, to either feed and or to be warm. which is why they like piling up and learn their siblings smells like

i was looking up for this thing where an old time scientist was dropping different (live?) animals down a mine shaft to see what happens. i don't really need to find it, but interestingly cows and horses or elephants would die from much falls lower than humans do

scienceabc.comWhy Do Small Animals Survive Falls That Kill Big Ones?A mouse walks away from a fall that kills a horse. The reason is geometry, not tougher bones, and the famous study about cats and high floors got it backwards.

asked llm to calculate final speed (ie terminal velocity) for a really big blue whale or a time travelling dinosaur and we're talking 900-1000km/h. variations due to aerodynamics, how high you need to go to drop them but that's more of a practical issue

and something like squirrel or a mouse: there isn't a fall big enough to be lethal for them, they reach terminal velocity pretty soon and will be fine dropped from an airplane. as a kid my sibling asked my father does an ant die if it falls from a height and my dad didn't know (it doesn't)

they're like 'alright how much is that going to cost us', after they've already done the damage. Finns aren't that upset about some trees themselves but about messing with natural habitat of endangered (or nearly) species, and yes the arrogance how they (or their contractor) did it

theguardian.com‘Pure arrogance’: anger in Finland as Google illegally fells 250,000 trees for datacentreCompany ordered to stop work at two sites in country, which has found itself at forefront of tech firms’ latest push

here he's looking way past the referee and to the monitors or whatever is at sidelines but it you time and frame it right it appears he's expressing his disbelief at this guy.

depending what illness or type of dementia he has, they will be trying different medications, at different doses, to see if something works better there aren't that many alternatives to try, and some of the changes might make them even worse than before most would be retired at this point...

in this essay i argue that in 1st parts of rambo and terminator a lot of their success was based on shooting cops. in sequels they're like oh no we're not shooting cops any longer for some reason or we're in vietnam so better adapt and just sort of injure them maybe and shoot in general direction
