Weather has been pretty wild in Barcelona over last 24 hours. Now at airport waiting for a miraculously not hugely delayed flight home.

Mid afternoon snack. Mr M is vegan, so guess who's going to be eating all the ham...

So. Any recommendations for a good breakfast/brunch spot in central Barcelona?

Made it to Barcelona. Finally took off nearly 6 hrs late after serious delays due thunderstorms around Barcelona and then once we reboarded, were told we had another 2 hr ATC delay due military exercises in French airspce. Been a very long day but so happy to be here.

So good news, I'm off to Barcelona today. Bad news- thunderstorms downroute mean 3.5 hr delay. More good news- my husband blagged us back into the lounge with a sob story about excessive delays. Now reboarded and waiting for our second attempt at departure.

A fabulous night in Brighton on Friday watching the still phenomenal St Etienne on their farewell lap. What a night!

Back in Madrid ahead of an eclipse watching mission tomorrow night. Lots of very happy memories of an amazing year here as an Erasmus student back in the '90s.

Re-watching Jurassic Park for the first time in twenty years in honour of Sam Neill. Had completely forgotten the added bonus of late career performances from Bob Peck and Richard Attenborough. And Jeff Goldblum steals the show.

I’m old enough to remember when images like this from Belfast were not that unusual on the news and I had (perhaps naively) thought we’d never see it again. This must bring back a lot of very traumatic memories for a lot of people.
