If this is correct, which I highly doubt, then the break even number(cost$340 + loss$160) would be about $500. That would mean that the $450 US Switch 2 is also losing about $50 and the MKW bundle is break even if you don't acount for the lost profits from the game. No way this number is right.

Sometimes I hate myself for the kind of gameplay ideas I have, coding this tumbling block physics with the screws was SOO hard But I'm happy that the block puzzles are getting more varied and better integrated with the platforming, pacing and all (game is ABYSS X ZERO, btw) #gamedev #lowpoly #axz

Also omg being able to disable auto lock is such a huge improvement! Now they just need to allow me to throw as many Pikmin as I want at something instead of stoping me at the minimum and the game controls will be fully fixed.

Interesting for Nintendo to say that acquisitions are part of their growth strategy since they've been saying that they prefer organic growth until now. Still I imagine they don't have anything big in mind. Probably looking at some of their existing close partners like HAL and Intelligent Systems.

In Pikmin 4 Ask the Developer, Miyamoto-san literally said: “ピクミンは、あなたの近くにいるよ” → Pikmin are close to you (The official English transcript is “Pikmin are all around us” instead, because they translated it idiomatically instead of literally.) 1/

Some day Nintendo fans will understand that Nintendo treats its universes as piles of beloved music and iconography to be remixed and recontextualized into fun new games and not an interconnected linear narrative linked by causality But it is not this day

Gonna go even further: don't refer to it as "consuming media" when doing this. You aren't a consumer - it's not a product. You read books. You look at art. You watch movies and/or videos. Be careful about word choice. Reject "consume" and REJECT "CONTENT." IT IS ART. YOU ARE ENGAGING WITH ART.

I'm being so real right now, learn how to engage in media as art and not a reflection of your own real life morals. consume things that make you uncomfortable and understand why it makes you uncomfortable. Don't just base yours and others morals standings on the media you consume.

I'm not at all surprised that Yacht Club was able to get Switch 2 dev kits but I do wonder how it benefits a game like Mina The Hollower. Doesn't seem like a game that needs it.

worth pointing out that game devs at xbox are some of the very few people at microsoft engaged in work that people actually want. no one wants copilot. no one wants to rely on windows anymore. no one wants teams and no one wants drone targeting AI. but i do want pentiment

I was hoping for a June Direct but seems pretty clear now that we're getting a Nintendo Today Direct. Splatoon 3 ver. 10.0/Raiders announcment and now a Donkey Kong Direct both announced in Nintendo Today. I honestly expect a few more Nintendo Today announcments thoughout the month now.

doodle. write poems you never show anyone. make banana bread. take pictures of birds. grow a plant. the goal isn’t to build job skills or “become a creative” it’s to just fool around and experience yourself and the world around you

this is maybe trite at this point but it is in your interest to find ways to create things. basically everyone wants you to be consuming nonstop. making stuff, from cooking to photography or whatever, can help you feel more in control. doesn’t even have to be something you share with other people

$10 less then it launched on other platforms and includes the season pass. A surprisingly a decent offer tbh

Star Wars Outlaws - Gold Edition (Switch 2 key card) is up for preorder on Amazon ($59.99) buff.ly/fBvCenL #ad probably the least surprising key card confirmation

I spent over an hour last night messing with virtual game cards and I think I have a very good understanding of how it all works now but I am not at all surprised that I haven’t heard an accurate explanation of it in any video I’ve listened to today so far

It costs a pretty paltry annual sum to support the Game Preservation Society, which has been doing the heavy lifting of safeguarding Japan's game history. It's a shame they're in such dire straits, so if you've got the ability to help support I highly recommend it.
