Incredibly true I think. In my recent YT thumbnails I started to mention the art in my devlog uses no genAI. I think people crave human made stuff more than ever now, so openly indicating it in thumbnail / title is helpful (and splash screen at start). The video in context: youtu.be/oKUyU2TBlYQ

tbh if you're someone making videos on YT especially making videos about things you made using coding on YT it might be worthwhile to lead with a "made by humans, no generative AI was used in the creation of this video/game/whatever" splash screen

I don’t know how people could say that programming and art are completely different disciplines when both workflows involve going ‘This will never work, I’m a failure’, changing one thing, then thinking you might be the smartest person alive

I've heard sentiments even here on Bsky that mentioning something is "no AI" is "reactionary" and somehow "bad", but to be fair its all filled with it online now, why not make it easier for people to dig through stuff and find the human made. If platforms don't do it, why should the users not do it?

Fixed up some of the glowing parts on the floating spires further last evening, and I'm happy I'm finally approaching wrapping this project up! #gameart #gamedev #art

Some progress on the floating spires (new version on the right side). #art #gamedev #gameart I've been refining the hand painting on the floating spires + redoing the lighting and part of the shader work so it looks bit more bright, shining and magical.

"Don't know what you expect me to do with this. The best I can say is it's a display of actual human incompetence instead of some genAI bullshit." The collectibles in Control Resonant are just amazing. I love it.

I actually havent posted a wip on this in ages, but this is how far I currently am with this project! Based on the concept art of Nikolai Dezrond Timofeev

I think that's it. Lesson learned. I'm never buying an AMD GPU ever again. Can't say I didn't give it a chance. Been on AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX since 2022 and ye, never again. I quite frankly don't care if its AMD, if its Microsoft, if its new culture of vibe code.

Recently I get my AMD GPU driver crash, then in the time its down, Windows ?updates? with its own then Im left with broke drivers that cant display 2 monitors. I go in the AMD panel and I go in a deathloop of this. I do DDU, unplug net, install latest AMD by hand. In two days, we are back to sqr1.

I imagine Windows still goes behind my back and install stuff that crashes the driver? I'm thinking of trying this now: But I thought I'll ask here in case anyone using AMD GPU (ye, right) actually has the same issue and has better solution? I'm skeptical that this might not fully fix it.

Last week my AMD GPU drivers break, most likely related to Windows updates. I DDU. Yesterday, we DDU my brothers Intel GPU drivers because of similar issues. Today my driver breaks again and I DDU again. Honestly, is it AMD and Intel or does Nvidia completely break lately too? I would love to know.

In the writing of this post, my fresh install of drivers flashed all black on my screens and I imagine Windows again did something in the background, though this time I told it to not keep my devices up to date on its own. I feel like I'm living in a comedy skit.

I was on Adrenalin 26.8.1 (WHQL Recommended) I'll download Adrenalin 26.9.2 WHQL (Optional), unplug and install that instead, cuz it has Control Resonant improvements and I'm right into that game now, loving it.

Working on Alien Deathstorm at Rebellion means I get to go around in the office and tell colleagues I'm Alien Brainstorming whenever I'm trying something new.

Went back to this timelapse video of one of my old projects and sped it up by 928% which makes it a bit more interesting to look at. Not sure why I ever made the original a slow 4-5 minutes lapse. "The Neon Graveyard" is the title. A cyberpunk noir scene I made in UE4 in 2019. #gamedev #gameart #art
