Uber surge pricing is just wrong. Why should my $8 ride this morning cost me $42 this afternoon? Fast food restaurants don’t surge price at dinner. ERs don’t surge price during peak times. It’s crazy.

When the system protects pedophiles instead of children, it’s not broken—it’s complicit. You can’t claim to defend children while defending predators. From churches to courts to Congress, too many protect the powerful instead of the vulnerable. That’s not morality—it’s evil. #DefendersofDemocracy

The Trump voters who are experiencing layoffs and higher prices under his administration have a scapegoat— Elon Musk. Now we tie Elon to Trump. Link them together. Don’t let one get away from the other. DOGE is Trump. Elon is Trump. Layoffs are Trump. Grocery prices are Trump. It’s all Trump.

Does “Golden Age” refer to a time when planes keep crashing, eggs cost $10–15 a dozen, the U.S. is being booed and protested by all our allies, workers are losing their jobs, and Americans’ personal data is being rummaged through by unelected oligarchs and their strange crew of 20-something incels?

Trump’s pronouncement that “Congress must get rid of, or extend out to, perhaps, 2029, the ridiculous Debt Ceiling” in insane especially coming from a “successful businessman”. Who would run a company that allows for limitless spending and debt?

Jeffries: In our nation's history, 25% of our nation's debt was accumulated during the four years of the former president, 25%. How dare you lecture America about fiscal responsibility ever.

If you're more upset with Biden being forced to consider the extraordinary step of peremptorily pardoning his own officials then you are about Trump appointing someone who’s promised to use the federal govt to exact personal retribution for Trump, then you need to think a little more critically.

Trump pardoned Roger Stone, Steve Bannon, Michael Flynn and Paul Manafort, as well as his son-in-law’s father, Charles Kushner—who he just appointed as US ambassador to France. Sorry, but President Biden was right to pardon his son Hunter in order to protect him against Kash Patel’s weaponized FBI.

Rampell: If you voted for Trump because you thought he was going to bring grocery prices down, I have some very bad news for you. A lot of our produce comes from Mexico. Two thirds of the tomatoes that Americans purchase are from Mexico…

A really excellent piece worth reading.
