After 411 days, Henry Ford Genesys nurses reached a contract agreement. They stood together for safer staffing, better working conditions, and the patients they serve. Growing up in a union household, I know the power of collective bargaining. I stand with Michigan workers.

Michigan never fails to innovate, and the FRIB at MSU is no exception. Since they broke ground on this facility over a decade ago, I have been proud to support their exploration in science and technology. We’ll benefit from the investments made at this facility for decades to come.

I am deeply concerned by the escalating situation in Albania. Local authorities must refrain from aggression against peaceful protesters, and everyone on the ground must work to deescalate and prevent further violence.

Michigan is home to a strong and vibrant Albanian American community, and I know these developments are very personal for many Michiganders. The Albanian people deserve a government that respects their fundamental rights and upholds the rule of law.

Many truck drivers and farmers are now paying nearly double for diesel compared to before Trump’s war with Iran. This Administration must work towards ending this war and bringing costs down.

The Great Lakes Restoration Initiative is the most significant investment ever made to restore and protect our Great Lakes. I’ll keep working in a bipartisan way to get this commonsense bill passed into law to help protect the Great Lakes for future generations.

Exciting progress in downtown Traverse City! Once completed, this pedestrian bridge will give folks a glimpse into the FishPass project that will help protect the Great Lakes ecosystem by sorting local fish from invasive species like sea lamprey.

The court did the right thing, but this clearly shouldn’t have become policy in the first place. Now, FEMA needs to immediately release this funding to help keep communities safe.

Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill” sold out many rural hospitals in Michigan by making drastic cuts to Medicaid funding. These health care cuts will make it harder for Michiganders to receive care, and it was all to pay for tax cuts to billionaires. www.mlive.com/news/kalamaz...

Very proud that my wife Colleen was honored with the Congressional Families Leadership Award today for her work to increase cancer awareness and early detection. She is truly the most important person in my life, and I am so lucky to be by her side.

Since the beginning of Trump’s war with Iran, Michiganders have watched their gas prices go up and up. Instead of working towards ending this war and bringing costs down, the President is now considering a further escalation of the conflict.

I’m proud to join Michiganders in recognizing our first PFAS Awareness Week. I'll never stop fighting to clean up contaminated sites, keep PFAS out of our drinking water, and hold polluters accountable.

Once completed, the Michigan Veteran Homes D.J. Jacobetti will help ensure veterans in the U.P. continue to receive quality care long into the future. I was proud to support this new construction by securing a $57 million federal investment in 2023.

During my motorcycle tour, we learned about the Bay City Fire Department’s plans to use federal funding I helped secure to protect firefighters from toxic PFAS contamination and purchase critical safety equipment.

Thank you Humane Society of West Michigan for your caring work and partnership over the years to support survivors of domestic violence and their pets. I am proud to stand by them through my work in Congress, and I will always fight to protect our four-legged friends.

Securing our nation from cyberattacks is one of the most important national security challenges we face. Ferris State University is helping to make sure we are prepared by training the next generation of cyber professionals.

In Traverse City today, we toured the nearly finished FishPass project downtown. Once completed, we will have the ability to sort native fish from harmful invasive species like sea lamprey in the Boardman/Ottaway River.

We heard about the amazing improvements to come at the new Michigan Veteran Homes D.J. Jacobetti in Marquette. I was proud to jump start this construction by securing a $57 million federal investment in 2023. Special thank you to Michigan Veteran Homes.

Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary is an economic engine for the City of Alpena and a critical part of Michigan’s heritage. Thank you to all the partners like Thunder Bay who help protect our Great Lakes!

Honored to meet with first responders at the Bay City Fire Department on this year’s tour. During my time in Congress, I’ve made it a mission to ensure Michigan firefighters have the support they need to do their essential work. Thank you to all who protect the people of Michigan.

For over 100 years, Berston Field House has been a cornerstone of the Flint community. I was proud to officially kick off the motorcycle tour here and discuss federal funding that will strengthen this institution for decades to come.

ICE must be held to the same standard as our local law enforcement. Unfortunately, DHS has not shared any corrective actions that have been taken related to the killings of Mr. Pretti and Ms. Good. Instead, we have seen the agency double down on violent tactics from Maine to Texas.

Millions of Americans have voted by mail, including President Trump. His fearmongering is an attempt to undermine the upcoming elections because he knows his policies have hurt Americans and he’s worried about the results.

The Trump Administration’s disregard for PFAS contamination is a danger to our environment and public health. We need to better protect Americans from these toxic chemicals. I’m continuing to fight back against Trump’s EPA for ignoring PFAS safety in our country.

The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law continues to support needed upgrades to Michigan roads, bridges, and critical infrastructure. I am pleased to announce $12.5 million in federal funding from that law for roadway safety projects in Ingham County.

Michigan has experienced more severe storms and flooding in recent years that have threatened public safety and damaged property. I was proud to secure $22 million to help Benton Harbor invest in infrastructure upgrades that will protect residents, homes, and businesses.

I was proud to secure more than $27 million to help improve vital economic corridors in Metro Detroit. Having safe, reliable roadways is critical to public safety and supporting the residents and businesses who rely on them each and every day.

Throughout my time in Congress, I’ve repeatedly fought to support Michigan growers and protect their livelihoods. That’s why I’m going to keep pushing to pass my bipartisan SWAT Act to combat an invasive species that is raising production costs and threatening their crops.

For the 13th time, I voted to end this war in Iran. It's unacceptable that the Trump Administration continues to mislead Congress and the American people about why we are in this war, and how we are going to get out of it.

This week, the Senate showed enormous bipartisan support for the Ukrainian people in their fight against Russian aggression. As we heard from President Zelenskyy, strong U.S. sanctions on Russia will send a clear message to Putin that we demand lasting peace for Ukraine and the entire region.

President Trump is trying to control elections and allow USPS to block millions of Americans from exercising their right to vote. It’s illegal and unconstitutional. Voters choose their leaders, not the other way around. apnews.com/article/trum...

The Great Lakes Restoration Initiative is the most significant investment ever made to restore and protect our Great Lakes. Now more than ever, we need to ensure this vital program has the resources necessary to keep our treasured waterways healthy and vibrant for generations to come.
