NIV) "Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him." — James 1:12

It’s very important to remember there is an unseen battle going on around us every day attacking us via thoughts or actions. Only God can help us win the battle. “Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” —EPHESIANS 6:11

Don’t let this be you. With the political parties saying one thing or another don’t believe the lies. Don’t let anyone capture you with empty philosophies and high-sounding nonsense that come from human thinking and from the spiritual powers of this world, rather than from Christ. Colossians 2:8

Corporate America would hire me to do a job and then resent me for doing it. I was there to enforce the rules and keep them out of trouble and that is exactly what I did. In whatever you do, do it as heartily as unto the Lord and not unto men. Colossians 3:23

We are not without power. We only need call on the name of the Lord and Satan had no rule over us. “Jesus said to him, ‘Away with you, Satan! For it is written, “You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.”’ Then the devil left Him.” —MATTHEW 4:10–11

“But when the right time came, God sent his Son, born of a woman, subject to the law. God sent him to buy freedom for us who were slaves to the law, so that he could adopt us as his very own children.” —Galatians 4:4–5

“Then he said to the crowd, ‘If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross daily, and follow me. If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it.’” —Luke 9:23–24

“The body is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption. It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power.” —1 CORINTHIANS 15:42–43

Satan will attempt to come off as your friend but that friend will stab you in the back. “But I am not surprised! Even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.” —Corinthians 11:14

This is why Satan works so hard to deceive us and destroy us. “Therefore, rejoice, O heavens! And you who live in the heavens, rejoice! But terror will come on the earth and the sea, for the devil has come down to you in great anger, knowing that he has little time.” Revelation 12:12

So many bosses, so many coworkers, probably me from time to time acting this way. “Stop acting so proud and haughty! Don’t speak with such arrogance! For the Lord is a God who knows what you have done; he will judge your actions.” —1 Samuel 2:3

If you were told you should get a degree then you could buy a home, who told you that? No one told me that. My parents and I had to work hard for everything we have. Plus it matters what type of degree you get. Is it marketable and does it pay.

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.” —Hebrews 12:1

On this anniversary of 9/11 let us never forget the evil aligned against us in this world. “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea.” —PSALM 46:1–2

Since we are receiving a Kingdom that is unshakable, let us be thankful and please God by worshiping Him with holy fear and awe. Hebrews 12:28 Let us also remember that this is the anniversary of the murder of Charlie Kirk. May we never forget his contribution towards religious freedom and truth.

None of us can do this on our own. Seek Christ and ask for His help. “You will be accepted if you do what is right. But if you refuse to do what is right, then watch out! Sin is crouching at the door, eager to control you. But you must subdue it and be its master.” —Genesis 4:7
