Pull down in Caliper and you turn the key 🔑 The warning lamps grow out of the Dynamic Island one by one, the shift lights fill, and the engine catches, with haptics and sound tuned to your actual car. #SwiftUI #iOSDev

One drive, six ways to see it 🎨 Caliper can colour a replayed route by speed, revs, gear, throttle, fuel economy, or where you coasted on fuel cut. Same streets, a different story each time. #SwiftUI #iOSDev

Design notes: • Speed and revs scale to the drive's own range, so a gentle drive still uses every colour and one outlier can't flatten it • Throttle uses a fixed 0–100%, so a gentle drive looks gentle • Where there's no data, the line stays plain. It never guesses

Check engine light on? Caliper reads the code from the car and says what it actually means ⚠️ P0420 becomes "Catalyst system efficiency below threshold", along with whether the car has confirmed the fault or only suspects it. #SwiftUI #iOSDev

Design notes: • It only reads codes, never clears them. Turning the light off isn't fixing the car • A code that goes away is marked "no longer reported", not deleted. That history is what your mechanic wants • One tap makes it a to-do, ranked by how much it matters

Photograph a service receipt and Caliper logs the visit 🧾 Shop, date, odometer and total, plus every line matched to the job it was: oil change, tire rotation, cabin air filter. #SwiftUI #iOSDev

Design notes: • It checks its own maths. When the lines add up to the receipt's subtotal, you see it • It only warns when the receipt printed the figure it's checking, so a correct read is never flagged for a number it missed • Each line keeps the original text a tap away

Every drive in Caliper can be replayed 🗺️ The camera chases your car through a 3D city while the strip underneath shows speed, revs, gear and throttle. Then colour the route by fuel economy to see where the drive cost you. #SwiftUI #iOSDev

Design notes: • One zoom per drive. The first camera zoomed with your speed and pumped in and out at every red light • Pinch, twist or two-finger tilt to set your own chase angle, and it keeps following • Long stops play as a short beat, so a red light doesn't eat the replay

Pull down in Caliper and you turn the key 🔑 The warning lamps grow out of the Dynamic Island one by one, the shift lights fill, and the engine catches, with haptics and sound tuned to your actual car. #SwiftUI #iOSDev

Details I sweated: • A dead zone at the top, so a fling never starts the car. Only a deliberate pull does • The pill grows down, not out, so it never slides under the toolbar • No progress bar. An early version had one, and it read as "loading", not "ignition"

It’s astonishing that our Prime Minister feels like a breath of fresh air; not because of any grand, radical change, but simply by embodying intelligence, competence, and a sense of normalcy. In a time when those qualities should be the bare minimum, they instead feel like a rare and welcome relief.

You are up to date.
